Gonna buy a welder...
Just wondering what kind of increase I can expect on monthly electricity bill? Just moderate usage, nothing major...

Mostly on the weekends. Just light fab. Im thinking about 6 hours a week. 3 to 4 of those on the weekends. Got a couple of projects my buddy and I are going to kick off. Once those are done, the arc time will taper off a lot.
Mig...

I would think it would be hard to notice a difference...if you think about it during a full day of fab work you probably don't actually weld but what, 5 or 10 minutes...maybe 15. Might be about the same as if you or your wife cooked 1 more meal a week than you usually do

Well, if you say 6 hrs of fab time, more than likely you won't be welding straight for six hours. I usally don't have enough of an increase in my bill to even think about it.
