Has anyone come up with a good design for a mini (benchtop) spray booth?
I'm thinking something around 30" cubic with a cheap kitchen hood doing the exhaust work. Anyone have anything like this? Are kitchen hoods safe for paint fumes?
I bought one of those rubbermaid outdoor sheds off of craigslist for 50 bucks. I can walk in it as its about 7 foot high with an "A" roof. (all plastic)..Dont have to worry about any overspray or clean up. Just hang it and spray it.
Coolest one I saw was posted by a rocket guy. Had an eazy-up frame that the wind trashed the cover. So he covered the whole thing in clear plastic. Folded up that fast. I forget if he had a fan blowing in through filters, but you would want to filter the air coming in, and nothing should blow past/through an open motor. I don't believe the stove hoods have explosion proof motors.
