Millermatic 350 problems

So I've been using my "new to me" 350 for about a year and a half now.

Trouble is that I'm still getting way more splatter than I used to with my cheapy Clarke machine. Wire also burns back into the tip once in a while.

I thought it was just getting used to the machine and that I'd figure it all out. But it's been long enough.

Even weirder is that using another 350 or a 250 at buddy's shop I have none of the stated problems. Same settings on the machine for volts/wirespeed. Same gas mix and everything.

Makes me wonder about all the user selectable functions and settings in the menu of the machine. Maybe the previous owner messed around and has it screwed up. The manual mentions a reset but doesn't tell you how to do it. Anyone know how?

Does this have the bernard gun they use a centerfire consumable tip. Maybe you have wrong tip in it.

If you have correct tip drop off to miller authorized repair center and get a quote for fixing, Then fix yourself.

Who knows maybe something simple.

It has a roughneck gun. Tried another gun. Bought all new consumables. No change.
