IOC is usually the cheapest. Great Service too.
I'm pretty down on any LWS, although mine has some knowledgeable people. All of them quote prices WAY higher than I can find online, in my experience, and no I don't want to wheel and deal with them to match a price. Give me your best price FIRST. Plus free shipping and no State taxes...A no-brainer from where I sit.

I guess it is different else where in the country.
If you walk into a local welding supply and say can you match or beat this price most say yes or no . As for shipping Miller always pays the shipping on new welders I would much rather have the supply house worry about shipping I have seen way to much shipping damage as of late. to each his own |

I got my TIG from IOC. Their site may not be the best but I got it FAST, and they have an AWESOME amount of parts available. My LWS won't even try to price match anything. |

Then they have the nerve to try and threaten me about who's gonna do repairs and cover the Miller unit while it's under warranty (if bought over the web). I told said asshat, why of course a licensed Miller dealer will Dick!!!

Got my 180 from Cyberweld. Housing was slightle dented. Nothing big at all but they were not willing or interested in doing anything about it or compensating me for the damage. I sent them pics too. It was obvious it was the shipping that caused the damage. Very minor cosmetic stuff but still I was a bit bothered. Weler works great though.

Thing to remember if you buy online or at Home Depot or elsewhere
It is up to the buyer to follow whatever policy the place you bought it from has as far as returns or warranty claims . Just because a local welding distributor is a dealer for said line of equipment does not mean they have to do anything. Around here most are pretty decent and will help you take care of problems . Depending on where in the country it may be different and of course when you have the buying power of a National company.(Air Gas) Most welding supply vendors are happy to move a welder for $25.00 to $100.00 over cost. Because they really make their money on Gas Then again just walking in off the street any where these days is likely to get you brushed off |

My buddy just bought a 252 from the local Airgas and they matched the online price and adjusted for the tax.

Bought my Miller 252 through IOC via ebay. Best price I found anywhere and they were easy to work with. I would definately recommend them.

I have had nothing but fantastic luck with my local supplier, who is a GTS Welco franshise, he matches internet pricing but we do get stuck with the tax. To me, the tax is a small price to pay to buy local and have a local shop stand behind what they sell rather then have to deal with an internet supplier. Just my .02, google GTS Welco and check them out.

I buy my machines from here:
http://www.weldfabulous.com/Welders/...-p6604019.html Call them and ask them "whats the best they can do", they knocked $50 off my A40 TD plasma a few weeks ago.

Sucks that you guys have such bad luck with local places. I just went down to mine, and the price they quoted me was better than cyberweld for the Hobart machines. I would think that the millers are probably the same.
