I just made a frame for Pro-Tools 105hd. I used 2"x2" tubing and a harbor freight ram. Here are some photos. Take it easy I am not done with it. I know it needs some bracing to the arms but I ran out of time. Let me know what I could improve on.

looks simple enought. nothing too far out side the box. i wonder how u will like making bends vertical.

Thats nice you will like the vertical I made mine similar but taller so I am not bending over all the time to use it. You may want to add leveling feet to it see pic below.

The leverage on that looks interesting for the first few degrees.

Thanks on the info leveling feet. I tried to keep it as low as possible. So I could bend a main hoop indoors and clear the ceiling in the shop.

I was a little worried about that too. But it takes off just fine the pic is kinda deceiving, the ram is not completely vertical.

Looks similar to the conversion I did witha Model 32. Works great. I used the cylinder and power unit off of my scissor lift.

what kind of springs are you using for the return? garage door springs or something? Ive been contemplating on putting them on mine, but not really sure if its worth it.

Yeah - garage door springs. Actually one 150# garage door spring cut in half.

I'd like to put a dual action cylinder on it at some point, but it works just fine as is. Does 90* in one stroke in about 30 seconds. Takes probably a minute to return to 0 with the springs.

See the lever on mine, a slight push and it returns in a second. I used a cut from the original manual handle.
