Freestyle Motocross Mobile Landing Ramp Build

Not sure where this belongs, so mods please move it if this is not the right area.

Figured some you guys would enjoy seeing this.

I run a small welding/fab shop. I rode freestyle motocross prior to opening my shop. So now I end up building quite a few things for freestyle riders. We have built multiple take-off ramps and one mobile landing before.

This current landing will be nothing like any before. It is being built for Kenny Bartram, his requirements for the landing are:

Setup Dimensions: 16' wide, 13.5' tall, 39' long
Tow Dimensions: 8.5' wide, 8.5' tall, 30' long
Under 11,000lbs including take-off & airbag
When folded down for towing, it will function as a enclosed trailer
1 person can setup on their own and not have to do anything other than push levers. So everything will be hydraulic.

I will keep updating with photos as the build moves along.

Update-

We have all the wings hung. Next will be mounting all 14 hydraulic cylinders and building the side walls to fully enclose it.

I happened upon Built to Shred this morn and saw the Metal Mulisha mobile landing ramp. Looked like quite a bit of labor to set it up so sounds like yours will be mo betta

Yeah this will be super easy/fast. In the past I have helped setup landings that took 3 guys 2-3 hrs to setup.

I finally got around to getting all the pictures uploaded. The landing is completed now, I'll try to get a video of it.

Thanks.

It has a airbag that hangs off the back if you come up short.

That beats the hell out of running into a steel framework / trailer tounge / generator / hydraulic cylinders @ 60mph.

That's pretty cool. He's coming here for Bikes, Blues, & BBQ, anyone else? So I guess he had that special built for the event?
