Utah welcomes Lucas oil regional series
LUCAS OIL REGIONAL
OFF ROAD SERIES UTAH DEVELOPED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MILLER MOTORSPORTS PARK JUNE 22, 2011 In a collaborative effort with Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah, the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series expands itʼs commitment to grass roots racing to the Utah region. As part of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Racing Series, the Utah Region joins the Southern California and ArizonaRegions, in continuing efforts to promote and develop grass roots short course off road racing. As the Lucas Oil team assumes day to day operations of the Utah series, they will be working with their Southern California and Arizonacounterparts to develop uniform rules and safety standards for exciting new classes, as each region develops. While theLucas Oil Off Road Racing Series rulebook will be utilized for existing short course off road racing classes, these newclasses will create opportunities for off road racers at all levels to compete safely in short course off road racing. In partnership and directed by Jerry Daugherty, Veteran Driver of the Lucas Oil Off Road racing Series, Lucas Oilʼs responsibilities will include the development of the fan, sponsor and vendor experience at Miller Motorsports Park . "Inkeeping with the level of standard that is expected from all Lucas Oil Motorsports Series, we are developing an affordableprogram for vendors and potential sponsors to become involved with the sport and support short course off road racing, said Bob Patison, Executive Vice President of Lucas Oil Products. He continued. With the grass roots nature of this program, affordability for fans, racers, vendors and sponsors is one of our main priorities. The purpose of this program is to continue to develop the sport and introduce more people to the excitement of short course off road racing. We arelooking forward to hearing from people who would like to be involved with this program at all levels. As racing begins in August, classes open to compete include: SuperLite Pro Lite Pro 2 / Pro 4 Open V8 Truck (Trophy Truck, Class 8, 1400, 4400) Full Stock Truck Limited Buggy 1600 Desert Buggy Lite Buggy/Class 9 Sr1 UTV Unlimited UTV Mini Open Truck (1450/TrophyLite) Mini Stock Truck Pilot Junior 1 Kart Pro Buggy Unlimited Desert Buggy Trophy Kart Adult Kart Junior 2 Kart Modified Kart *Classes and races held will be determined on participation and entries. It's great to see all these regional series opening up. I have raced the last 2 events with ASCC here in AZ. It is a blast. Can't wait for the next one.

I hear they had a packed crowd this weekend at Miller Motorsports park. Kinda cool to see Lucas stepping up to help form these venues and then let the regional series use the sites as well.
I hope it continues to grow.
