The Red Bull RockHer II - BTF Buildup

Well...here it is, The start of the buildup. I've worked hard just to set up the way the website will work and there will still be some tweaks and changes...but hey, the first couple of sections are up.

You will find a ton of dead links. Right now, there are only two "Intro" pages and the five "shopping list" pages up, plus the index page. I'll be updating throughout the day and night and by midnight, there will be a large number of pages and info up.

Enjoy what's there now...as each section goes up, I'll give an update here that there's been a change.

More stuff has been added...the entire "THE BULL" section is up, plus the "MockUp" pages under "the Growing Bull" are in as of Wed night.

Added a GIF animation of the SolidWorks chassis to the bottom of the MockUp part 2 page on Thursday morning.

Friday morning the Chassis Build story was added to the "Growing Bull" section. I'm outta here till Sunday as I'm announcing WE Rock Spartanburg.

Sunday afternoon I added the front axle build to the "Growing Bull" section. I still have more to add to that chapter but that will have to wait.

Sunday evening I added the steering section - part 6, under the growing bull.

Wednesday, Jun 14, I added a couple animations to the bottom of "the build - 6 Steering"

Tuesday, June 27, added the start of the Build 5 - engine section. Also added the beginning of part 7 - the interior.

Thursday, June 29...added to Build Part 7 - the interior...actually added it around 2:45 am...man, these late nights are killing me!

Thursday July 27 added a few pics to page 8 of this thread. Body shots as well as flex shots.

Sunday, August 20, added the first section to the Build Part 3 - the Rear end. Sorry it took so long, we've been BUSY!!!

Monday, August 21, reformatted the web pages a bit for a little easier navigation. Also, I wrote up navigation descriptions on the main INDEX page so people just getting there, would have a better idea of what's going on. Finally, I put something on all of the blank pages, even if it was just a breif description. I have edited and transferred another few hundred phots in the last couple of days and I'll be moving to expand the sections we have as soon as I can.

Tuesday, Aug 22, the first installment of "Bull-O-Knee" was added. I hope to put up some more funny content on this soon...trust me, the stuff I have of Bender in his Toyota will AMAZE you!

Wednesday, Sept 27, the first installment of "the Bull Tail" is up telling about our first practice session. Yes, it's out of order as we've not yet finished the buildup story but too many people were begging for our feelings on how the rig worked!

Still working on some of the editing of the story as well as new sections...WOW, is this ever a ton of writing.

Can I recommend putting up a brief description of what will be contained in The Bull, The Growing Bull, The Bull Tail, The BullPen and Bull Crap sections…

Obviously The Bull currently contains background and introductorily information; what can we expect to see in the other areas, that may help with the navigation. I understand it is a work in progress, I just want to give some ideas as opposed to just making a blanket statement.

I think it would be helpful to add a "next page" button at the bottom of the sections.

Dustin is working away adding more info. Some of the changes and links you guys want to see are in the works. Everything should be dialed in by tomorrow sometime.

The first two shopping list pages are now up and rolling.

Thanks
Dan

I heard that the "original" chassis that was going to be used for this was sold to the guy that runs Morris Mountain ORV. If there is truth to that what was the changes made to the chassis being used and the "original". Im interested to hear things you found after the chassis was assembled that you wanted to be different.

We'll touch on the "mock-up" chassis by tomorrow and the surprise of how little change there was from the mock-up, to the SolidWorks rendering of that chassis, to the changes made, to the new "production" chassis. The new owner has one hell of a chassis, that's for sure.
