OBA for the cheap bastard
I'm trying to finish my oba project for the least amount of cash possible.
Here is what I've done so far: 1. Pulled a york at the junkyard: $20.00 2. Machined the double-v pulley to fit my serpentine belt. $0.00 3. Built the mounting bracket out of a scrap piece of stainless 'cause I'm too cheap to paint it. $0.00 4. Had to remove my air-box to make room for the york, so I cut the factory air-tube and slapped on a conical filter. $38.00 (splash guard coming soon). I've also searched the archives and found out that instead of buying Kilby's 1/2"npt replacement flanges for $25 that I can just remove the flanges and tap the inlet/outlet ports with 3/8"npt and use a 3/8"npt elbow. That should cost $6 including the tap. I'm also looking for an air-brake-tank to use as a tank. Anyone know of a big-rig wrecking yard in the Portland area that I could get one from? What other cheap solutions or suppliers have you found for your oba project?

While we are on the topic of cheap bastards...I see that neither of you wasted any time putting in for this month's free driveline.
Enough chit-chat...how about some tech.

Plumbing you tank is going to double your costs.
one-way check valve, shut-off switch, safety valve, hose, fittings, inlet filter, oil separator Yep, costs will double but you will have spent a lot less than others have.
