Johnny G on Upper Helldo

Yeah, its old news, but I finally found a picture of John climbing that last waterfall on upper Helldorado. From this position, he nailed the throttle and popped up and over. Nobody got any pics of that, it happened so damn fast.

Yeah, I was there. Totally fawking awesome. I forgot that he had both front wheels on top like that. I thought maybe the passenger front should have been in the valley, but he saw the line and well... that's why he is where he is

Alright, where did you get the pics?

Those are full-frame drum scans from a 35mm transparency, and the quality of the images suggests a full-on pro shooter.

Dollars to donuts there are more stills, but they're being held on to for some editorial use or advertising.

Who was on that run? Do you remember a magazine guy or a BFG guy there shooting? Just trying to figger out who was there that might know the guy shooting video...and where the other stills are.

Hey! No digging Fawker!

Sometimes ya gotta wait for the rest of the good stuff.

Yes, they are professional shots. Both were taken by Mark Nobles from 4WD and Sport Ute. The run was an arranged shoot and the pics, plus a bunch more will be featured in an upcoming thing.

Nobles? Oh, he's no pro...just a hack living out in the woods in some cabin making boms or something...

Hehe, I knew something was up. (and the linky-no-worky, someone has a fast trigger finger! )

Michael,
You're one to talk. Quite the resume on you too. Why don't you post a few of YOUR best shots here. I bet there are more than a few people that would like to see them.

*blush*

In the interest of exclusivity, which is what most of my clients pay for, I don't post a lot of pics on the internet.

Other than me building my junk (which I do like to show off), the stuff I do for *work* pretty much goes to them and that's where it ends.

I do, from time to time, end up with the possibility (or opportunity rather), to post pics that don't threaten my relationships. Lemme post one in a second...I need to find one that won't get me in trouble.

(Oh and Nobles screwed up my centerfold in the August 2003 4WD&SUM. I gave him some shiat about it...he passed the buck to the art director. I'm gonna wring her neck!
