swb tub onto lwb
I have wanted a soft top for quite a while and have been trying to work out how to go about it. Could cut mine down but don't really like that option. Try and get a Maruti cab which isn't a bad idea but hard too find. Get a soft top lwb tub even harder to find. But if I got a swb tub and cut it like this one of Jeff Stevens to lengthen the wheel openings on the tub maybe it will work. What problems would I encounter with mounting the swb tub to the lwb chassis. I'm guessing that the biggest problem will be fabbing new body mounts in the rear

Do you want the longer wheelbase for added storage, or better performance?
Personally...I'd modify the tub to be longer (weld in some sheet metal) and extend the frame. No looking for a hard to find LWB. |

I already have a lwb. It is a ute model and I want to get a soft top body.
I don't need/want the cab anymore and want to go soft top, also cut down the weight more

HEY! Don't hurt or destroy that cab!!! I want it! Figure out how to and how much to ship it to the US! Please?? I have a lwb and the body mounts are the same on a swb just more of them in the back. If you actually want to get rid of the cab, let me know. Thanks!
