Cooking with Mo: Spaghetti Pie (with pics)

I posted this recipie a long time ago, but it's a favorite of mine so I'm doing it again. This time with pics

Ingredients:

about 1/3 lb spaghetti (a bit less than half a box)
2 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
1/3 cup Parmesean cheese
small carton of Ricotta cheese (4 oz?)
2 cups spaghetti sauce
1 cup mozzarella cheese

Directions:

1. Cook spaghetti.

2. Drain.

3. Mix in pie pan with butter. When butter is melted, add eggs and Parm. cheese

4. Mix well and form a crust.

5. Add ricotta cheese.

6. Add sauce.

7. Top with Mozzarella cheese

8. Cover with foil and bake 45 mins @ 350* then uncover and turn on the broiler to brown it nicely.

Voila.

THANK YOU! My mom used to make that, but with no ricota cheese and meat in the sauce, and I loved it. Now I can try to destroy it myself

nope. I got this 7 piece set at Bed Bath and Beyond.

As for quality: love it. yeah, it's a celebrity endorsed end version of All-Clad... but it's still All-Clad quality. I think the major difference between the Emeril line and the others is that the Emeril line is imported and most of their other stuff is made here in the USA.

this makes one pie.

I usually double it - one for now, and one for the freezer.

I made it on Sunday and it was great. The only thing different I did was to add 2 eggs, parm cheese and some italian spices to the ricotta. I was thinking that sausage would be great too!

Mmm, the sausage is a good idea. Some nice spicy sausage at that.
