moab worthy cj7

For sale is my 77 cj7

this is a trail and street proven cj7 I live in utah and go to moab all the time this jeep can do almost everything and probably could with some lockers.

first is the 360 v8 that was rebuilt and blueprinted by the previouse owner that was my good friend it is out of a waggy and only has about 1500 miles on it (runs perfect!!!)

then it is mated to a advanced adapter that mates to a ford t-18 with grany low (great condition no wine shifts soothly)

then that is mated to dayna 300 that is twin stick ready(never had a problem but had it rebuilt any way)

the axles are off of a older suburban and are a 14 bolt in the rear and a dayna 44 in the front both are 8 lug with new brakes and on the front new calipers and brake lines, the front needs new u-joint I bought them just havnt had time to put them in

the suspention is a 4" spring sprung over and located on the out side of the frame the wheel base has been streched I will have to measure it but I think it is the same as a scramblers(vary flexy)

it has new 37" good year mtr's and new wheels.

the body is in ok shape with no rust on the floor at all some paint might be in order if you are going to make it look pretty but I never worried about it because I will just screw it up off-roading, it has a 95 yj hard top and doors and tj flares with fiberglass fenders, the interior is in great shape it has a full cage and every thing works exept the spedo but no big deal, I also added some grand cherroke leather seats with no tears and a yj back seat, it also has a 21 gallon fule tank.

this is a vary good offroader and I drive it on the street as well the full with axles make it ride and track vary nicely.

I will post pics as soon as I can but if you need me to e-mail them to you I can do that also

I am asking 6500 obo and I am considering trades if you are close thank you. nick

I'm still interested

Only an eight hour drive to Gardnerville. I'm also asking $6,500 for my rig. I had a cash offer of $5,500 on my Fj the other day. I passed on it. How low will you go in price???

troy I am still interested but it is just hard for me to find a trailor and a truck if I could ever do it it would have to be on a weekend so I dont know, I was wondering why you wanted to sell it in the first place?

We have tight, Brushy, boulder ridden trails here. The FJ-60 is a little bit big for the trails. I hate to tear it up. A CJ is alot more appropriate for the area. Also, I work in the Rubicon in the summers. I would probably switch to a Dana 60 up front in the CJ. I don't think the Dana 44 will hold up out here. I'm not sure I want to trade either. I am just seriously interested and wanted to take a good look at it and decide. I does look good from the photos. I think I can make a much better (big rock rig) out of the CJ than my FJ-60.

I am changing my days off to the weekends on March 6th. I will be off every weekend after that. You still have an open invitation to come and check it out.

I have three children. Two are very small and traveling is difficult with them. I won't set up a long drive again. Hopefully you understand. Troy

troy I understand, but it is just to far to go to just have you check it out and I have to tell you my rig isnt small I just thought I would let you know because you said your fj is to tall but my cj is probably taller I will post more pics and then you can see better, like the underneith and the inside ect...

When I said too big I meant, the body is wider and the rear overhang is a huge factor here in the big rocks.

I'm starting think you don't know what you want.

I was trying to be polite when I suggested a half-way meet. Wouldn't be out anything except two tanks of gas and couple hundered miles on the odometer. You were the one who asked if I was interested in trading.

I'm wondering why you would get rid of a sick CJ-7 which is almost finished. Only thing I can figure is long wheel base works better in Moab, or maybe the Jeep has problems? You said, " Street proven". If so why do you always want to trailer it?

I'm tempted to drive to your door-step and check out your Jeep. I have decided not too because I have already made the effort on two occasions to meet half-way. Both times you backed out.

So, come here and see my rig or send me a hundy and I'll drive to your door-step. I am not afraid to drive to SLC or anywhere else in my FJ. Otherwise I'm back to work on my rig. Troy

ok I did say that it is street worthy and I mean that in a sens that it drives on the street good it is just not that comfortable and good on gas to drive so far just my preference. sorry for backing out twice it is just like you said "why are you geting rid of your sick jeep" well it is hard to get ride of you baby you know, and in my current situation it is not what I need.

Are you close to St. George? We'll be there for the competition March 4-7th. I'd like to take a look at it.
