Just saw this, there goes another $40 to pay for my wife and Gracie to sit there with me

************

The nasty rumors are true. EVERYONE entering the Coal Creek OHV Area at Windrock Mountain must have a daily or yearly permit to ride. This means drivers, passengers, children, EVERYONE. To make it worse, there are no discounted passes for passengers, everyone pays the same amount of $10 a day or $50 a year. This is straight from Chuck Whicker the land manager for Coal Creek, so it is not just a rumor.

This applies to the Southern Trailfest also, so we have to be prepared to pay for our riders when we register on-site at the event.

Well I was planning to go but I rolled my jeep again, broke a few things and the engine is running like crap. If I get everything together, I'll be there.

Lary, Bill and James from north east Tn will be there.

Where are you staying? Were camping.

IYJ - It looks like I won't have the 4Runner ready to bring, so I might try to borrow a Jeep (maroon CJ7 on 38" TSL's) or a 4Wheeler to putt around on. Regardless - I will be there some time Friday night, and will be cooking & serving Saturday night's meal (wife and our little girl will be there too).

We are camping out too - see you there

Contact one of the contacts from www.sfwda.org and see, I am willing to bet they will still register people on-site...
