Finally getting somewhere with my Yota!!! Woohoo!

Got a call from the machine shop yesterday. I should have my complete bottom end around the 4th!!!! Woohoo!!!

They machined the block, polished the crank, will be installing new: Speed Pro pistons/rings, new bearings and assembling the bottom....

I cant wait!

So I will have $550 into the bottom end including all the machine work and new parts... Hows that sound?

Sounds like money that could have gone toward your 4.3 swap...

Just kidding! I don't know what it would be like to drive a "new" 22r or re. All the ones I have driven have had 200,000 or more.

I do agree.. Origianlly I planned on that. Then dug into the 22re a bit and figured, fawk it. And went the more simple route and redid the 22RE... I have a new head, cam and everything for it so it will be a whole new engine...

If I went 4.3, I'd of had to find and tranny and rebuild and then an adapter for the t-case. Oh and a wiring harness. Maybe someday I'll sell the 22re and go for a 4.3...
