Toyota Jamboree and Lake Bed Build Up

Build Up Raffle tickets can be purchased here!

The Tinbenders in association with Pirate4x4.Com and Calrocs, are proud to present the 2005 Toyota Jamboree featuring the first ever Lake Bed Buildup.

The Event

The Jamboree will again be held at Johnson Valley OHV, home of the Hammers, on April 22 - 24, 2005. We will be leading at least 12 trail runs ranging from an SUV desert tour to the most extreme of the the extreme. We will begin accepting registrations for the Jamboree just after the first of the year, but mark us on the calendar and get ready for a great weekend of wheeling with family and friends. Just like last year, we will be hosting a dinner and "one ticket per rig" raffle on Saturday night.

The Cause

Also like last year, we will be hosting this event for the purpose of raising money for the conservation and maintainence of the trails we all enjoy. Again the Friends of Panamint Valley will be the orginization we will support. Last year we raised over $7000, and those monies have already been used to begin the legal fight to reopen Surprise Canyon.

The Build Up

New for this year is a seperate raffle for a turn-key Rock Crawler. We have already secured a stock 86 IFS Short Bed pickup truck. What's so special about that? On friday morning of the Jambo, we will drive that stock truck onto the Lake Bed. By Saturday morning, it's new owner will lead the run up Wrecking Ball. This will be posssible because on Friday the Benders with support from some of the most recognized vendors and fabricators in the country will transform the stock rig into a top notch rock crawler. Some of the things in store:

Solid Axle Swap - using a Front Range Off Road custom housing and Marlin High Steer
Dual Ultimate Tcases installed by Marlin himself.
Poly Performance Chromo axles front and rear
Bobby Long Chromo/300M birfs
Gears and Lockers by Superior Axle and Gear
Body Armor and interior cage built by Rob Park aka Tin Bender
Big meats and beadlocks
And a fresh motor and paint job to boot (this part we'll handle before we get there )

The raffle will be held on the internet, and the winner will be announced on 3/22/2005. It is the winner's responsiblity to allow for transportation after the Jambo.

Raffle tickets can be purchased here!

Tickets cost $5.00 and you can buy as many as you'd like. The Tinbenders will employ a local law firm to pick the winner at random.

Good Luck and see you in April.

Awesome! Dave please let me know how the Pirates of the Rubicon can assist in the build or the event. We were planning a Club run for Feb or March but looks like this would be a great time to go as a club.

I love this idea! Winning this is really gonna make up for my life sucking in so many other ways. Worst case scenario I get to run the Hammers again!

I hope you raise a grip o cash.

Prizes were awesome, JRT gettin' jiggy on the RTI ramp at 25MPH, Sobe Bombs, Disco light trucks, etc. Yeah, I'll be there, and I'm bringin' some more Vegas folks, and a keg of Sin City Ale.

We need reliable tailgunners for each of the trails as there aren't enough Benders to put two on every one.

Is that something you guys would be into?

Thanks for the support bud

Man this looks tempting.
I wonder if I can find a co-pilot to come down with me and help with the driving and costs of getting there and back.
It would be nice to meet some of the PirateBB gang in person and have a great weekend of wheeling.

the Jambo will be at the infamous Hammers----
this year we might have two fires--- one to sit around and get warm-
one to gather around and get crazy-

still workin on some fun and games that we haven't seen at other gatherings--

So the winner of the raffle is announced a fair amount in advance? I'll definately go if I win. Otherwise, it's a toss-up. Just trying to decide whether or not to buy tickets.
