I recently bought a 84 mini truck with dual cases, 5.29s, lockrights, exo, 63s, 4 skyjackers, and a cool flat bed. Here lies my problem, it has been wheeled to shit and never fixed, the cage is made out of 1.75 fence galvinized steel, very weak and beat to shit, the front and rear ends need to be rebuilt, cracked birfs and siezed pinion bearings, but the cases and motor are still in good shape, reason i bought the truck. Now I have the option of buying a 84 solid front 4runner for $1500 runs good and smogs. is it worth starting over and putting my good stuff on the straight bodied low milage runner, or fix what I have????

Sounds like buying the 4runner and putting the good parts from the mini onto that would be worth it. Plus you can do things correct the first time instead of fixing someone elses mistakes.

buy the truck and fix or upgrade one of the 2. 1500$ is a good deal. If you don`t buy it, you wish you had when you will need parts or find out the built truck is too broken up to fix which in that case you can scavenge good parts into the new one...

Forget fixing someone else's work, cause when you think you have it all fixed. you'll find another.
