Thumbs up Back in Binder-dom

Well, after a month long dance with never-ending set backs, my Traveller ~ soon to be Terra ~ has been pulled back out of the shop.

I didn't take any pictures of it outside, but here's one of it just before I pulled it out and cleaned up the confetii packaging all over the floor . It's a DD ~ so it didn't get anything too wild ~ but I did build it up just enough to pull double duty as a lite-to-moderate trail rig

Current Specs:
'79 Traveller
345 w/ 4bbl manifold and DUI
TF727 (stock)
Dana 20 (stock)
Travellal front axle, 4.27 (open), SOA on 2" lift springs, 5.8* caster CV-Shaft, HySteer, Alloy axle Shafts
"Big Bronco" 9-inch rear axle, 4.27 (Detroit), 31-spline, BigBearing, TSM Rear Disc conversion, SOA on 2" lift springs, CV shaft, Alloy rear axle shafts.
36" SuperSwamper TSLs on 15x8 (4"BS) chrome spokes (mostly bald from over-inflation so at least the sides have good meat left)

Future Mods:
Tera Top w/ Bulkhead
Roll Bar
Front & Rear Bumpers
Rewire Trailer Brakes and 7-pin connector
SSII Grill
New 35-36s (these ones are beat)
15x10" rims ~ or 1.25" wheel spacers, whichever is cheaper

Possible Future Mods:
Rear tube bed-rail 'runners' combined with a shorty Safari Rack.

I'm stoked, it'll be the first time driving my own scout in 9 months.

No parking brake ~ NOPE I have yet to have a working parking brake on any of my scouts ~ modified or not ~ so I figure if the stock ones dont work, why bother

Action Shots: Soon very soon.

Snoop, Jeff lives twenty five minutes from me and we've only wheeled together once. Since your about 1000 miles away you dont have to worry about it
Are you two comin to Hollister or what?

I'm still planning on it. Worked on my travel trailer this weekend and almost have it completely ready. As long as I don't have my Scout all torn apart swapping that Dana 60 and NV4500 I have waiting for it.

Yes, I'm anal about parking brakes or the lack of one. I didn't run a parking brake until one day it nearly cost me my life. So please as I ask park downhill.

I got a rear bumper already, a customer didn't like the powdercoating HE picked for it, so he returned it for an unfinished. Funny thing is that the powder is about as close to the body color as you can get. Hope to have it on there before too long. ~ but i'm going to paint it black.
