I've got a close ratio 4:1 first T19 out of a Scout that has studs off the front of it. I was told that the Jeep T98 had the same bell bolt pattern, and was pumped when I got a bellhousing for $40 to mate it to a buick V6. However, the bell to trans patters were different when I fitted them together. Now I'm stumped and pissed.
What's the cheapest way to mate the T19 to the Buick? My whole plan was to avoid buying adapters. And I know I have to have the input shaft machined. I think Mo has some experience with T19s, from my search. Going into a '3A if it matters. Thanks for any help. Edit: I searched some more, AA makes an adapter, but someone also re-drilled the bellhousing to fit the tranny. Are there any problems with the strength of the new holes because the aluminum is not as thick as in the original locations?
