I'm waffling again (manual trannies)

Okay after comparing the gear ratios for both the H55F and the NV4500, I'm leaning towards the NV4500 (again). I like the taller 5th gear, and if I can find one without the granny 1st gear (or rather, with the 5.61:1 ratio 1st), it'd be much better for my driving habits (lots of downtown and long highway drives, and I don't think I'll need a super low 1st gear once I can get 2L with my tcase). Now I'm trying to figure out price differences between the two options. I haven't looked much at the pricing options for the H55F, but from what I've seen of the trannies offered on Man-A-Fre, I'm looking at close to the same amount of money being spent on the conversion.

It looks like for the NV4500, if I can find a Dodge HD one (which is what I'm looking for), I can expect to pay 500-600 minimum if I even manage to find one in a junk yard, plus 500 for the rebuild kit. I shouldn't need the full spline mainshaft, since I'm told it's for 500+ HP applications (yeah I ain't gonna get that from a 4BT, and certainly not my 3FE), so that'll save me quite a few bucks on the rebuild. So I'm looking at at least a grand so far, plus the AA kit for my engine and factory tcase, which is just over a grand (thank God I'll only need the Dodge bellhousing when I put the 4BT in). So if I were to be liberal with the cost I'm looking at $2500, plus the clutch kit, plus master and slave cylinders (which I haven't priced yet since I'm still trying to find out if I can pull those out of a 60 or if I need to take 'em from a Dodge truck), plus a pedal assembly from a 60. Now as far as the pedal assembly goes, can I get just the clutch and brake pedals, or do they come out in a complete, 3 pedal assembly? What all is needed to do to the 62's body to hang the clutch pedal and set up the hydraulics?

THis is kind of hard for me to describe, so bear with me. This is all from memory.

There is a bracket or plate or whatever you want to call it, that runs from the firewall up and into the steering column. This plate has the mounting for the peddle assembly.

In stock form you 62 has all of the correct mounting for all 3 pedals, except for the left side of the clutch pedal. You could in theory weld in a mount for that side of the clutch pedal.

There are depressions in the firewall for mounting your clutch master. You will have to drill 3 holes, one for the cylinder, and 2 mounting holes. But you should be able to see them on the firewall so that is easy.

If you can find a parts truck it would be easiest to grab the master and slave cylinders, and mounting plate for the pedals (described earlier) and all the hydraulic lines for the clutch.

A long time ago I helped someone swap a manual into a 62, so the details are fuzzy. Let me know if you have any more questions.
