XRRA Media Coverage for Co. Springs and thanks to all...
Just wanted let everyone know that we are going to have Xtreme 4x4 TV, Dirtsports, and Various local media on hand for the event.
With an event limit of only 35 teams you are assured excellent coverage for you and your sponsors. Also would like to say thank you to the excellent folks at 4 Wheel Parts that have come on board as partners for this event. They are helping to grow this sport in a big way. Along with all the help they will be adding to the purse with store gift certs that will total $750.00 for first place, $500.00 for second place and $250.00 for third. For a $175.00 entry fee XRRA will be paying down to 5th place. With the first three placing being at least, $3000.00 for first, $2000.00 for second, and $1000.00 for third. Along with the above mentioned gift certs. All this would not be possible without our Drivers and local supporters that make this all happen. Thanks to Crash, JT, Ray, Ray, Bob, Randy, and to the many others of you that make the XRRA the leader in Rock Racing. See you all soon. Weaver P.s. Please support these Rock Race Sponsors: Rancho Suspension, 4 Wheel Parts, Area BFE, Crane, Premier Power Welder, and Dyno-mite Diesel |

Mike,
Perhaps you can give me some more details on the event. I have a couple basic questions: 1) One day event right? Sat.? What time does it start? Where is tech? 2) Only time based? There has to be some sort of course delineation, Are you DQ'd for leaving the course or assesed a time penalty? 3) How many times do we run? How many courses? 4) Are there two rigs on the same course at the same time? (Will my teams safety be in the hands of another team on the course?) 5) $175 for entry? Is there any series fee?

Event starts at 10:00am drivers must be there by 8:30am. Tech is Friday @ 4 Wheel Parts in the Springs. 2) Only time based? There has to be some sort of course delineation, Are you DQ'd for leaving the course or assesed a time penalty? There is a time penalty for breaking the course banners. If you do break one you are way off the path, not using your head, and wheeling in an un-sporting way towards your fellow wheelers. If breaking a banner/driving beyond course marking becomes a habit for a team, they will be asked to leave. Not being a hard a$$, just upfront about it. 3) How many times do we run? How many courses? Teams will run 4 courses over the day. 4) Are there two rigs on the same course at the same time? (Will my teams safety be in the hands of another team on the course?) No. Two rigs will be going at the same time but not on the same course. Safety is our number one concern. 5) $175 for entry? Is there any series fee? No series fee. Just $175.00 for the best day of wheeling you have had in a long time. Hope to see you there. Weaver |

everyone should try a rock race. It's a blast. We may have to miss this one. We hurt our engine in phoenix. It goes to the machine shop in the morning.

I heard Joe tell our engine builder we need more POWER. That should be interesting.

We spent the weekend working on the courses and they are turning out even better than imagined. Many of the local XRRA drivers took over parts of the city this weekend with great response from the public. Friday night at a local Western hangout, then Saturday night they took over downtown Colorado Springs. There is an awesome club scene in the Springs with thousands of visitors on a Sat night. With the buggies stacked up on top of a Honda they could not help but check out what was going on. The night ended with the crushing of the car at closing. The crowds went nuts. Local news was on hand to record a segment on the Rock Race and a radio station was doing a live feed that drove the numbers even higher. Colorado Springs is one he!! of a party town, the word now is the pre-event concert has grown from 4 bands to 6 bands Friday night. Drivers may want to think twice before choosing to camp at event site. Any teams that have sponsors that they want to make happy should seriously consider XRRA Rock Racing. With the coverage our events get, the crowd levels generated, the 35 rig limit makes for better odds on coverage, only one class of rigs so attention is not split between classes and the fact that Rock Racing is the future of motorsports. I only mention this because a lot of folks are going to be kicking themselves for missing this oppertunity. Drivers that are coming out be sure to setup your rigs for more speed sections than in past events. Weaver www.XRRA.com |

I will be there and I mean to keep Crash and JT on their toes. I rig turns kind of slow, but it has plenty of power!
