also I'd like to extend the middle finger to all of those people that had us picked to finish 3rd place in the SEC east.

WVU was picked to finish 3rd in the Big East this year......... some people never learn......WVU has won alteast a share of the Big East crown the last 3 years and won it outright this year

The whooping we took from Alabama? No, they beat us. Darn well.

The win against UGA sans Shockley? yes, we only scored 14. yes, they probably would have beaten us, but apparently UGA needs to recruit another QB, considering the only TD scored by them was thrown by a RB.

i'm not going to start into the loss to Carolina, but i will say this, 'Reggie Brown missed the tackle...' was heard on about every 10 plays...

all in all, we did better than Zook did his entire tenure, we beat our 3 biggest rivals in the same season for the first time since '85 (UGA, Tenn, FSU), players attempted (a lot of the time futily) to run a tricky and gimmicky offense that (in its past and true form) will only work against the slower and less physical defenses then the SEC has to offer.

Mediocre season by the standards the Ol' Ball Coach set in the mid to late 90's, but we are rebuilding. The true test of Meyers system is not this year, or even next, but rather 2 from now (his 3rd season) when the QB's and other players HE recruited to play HIS system actually get significant time on the field.

then if he sucks he will be crucified and sent to illin' noise like zooker....(who in case you missed it lost a game this year 28-2

Wow, you sound just like fans at Texas A&M and Nebraska... BTW Zook did about as well his first season as Meyer, but he won AT Tennessee and he also beat Georgia. He did lose AT Florida State though. The funny thing is that all those teams were substantially better than they were this season, and you had Tennessee and FSU at home. And you had Georgia without their QB. And you barely had a better overall record than Zook did his first year, but you had a worse SEC record. I'm not saying y'all should have kept Zook, but you're a little overconfident with your new coach... that's all I'm saying...

yay, go Tennesssssss awww fuck it. they sucked ass this year. oh well, we got new coaches for next season. hopefully, they can get back to National title status.

tis true, point taken. but zooker never won more than 7 games. lost two bowl games (bad). one of which we can possibly avenge this year.

zook had his 3 years to do something, couldn't, lost to miss st and broke the back of the alumni. the games we lost this year were not to teams that lost to a DII school . . .

personally, i've reserved judgement on meyer. he came in here as the 'golden boy' 'poster child' 'turn around expert' 'blah blah blah'
so far, he's done some good things and some things we'd rather not discuss. but he did go undefeated AT home, something zooker didn't do.

also we thought zook was a recruiter....damn so far this meyer guy is putting him to shame... #4 on scout.com and #5 on rivals.com not too shabby

Oh and Meyer's wife is hoooooooooooooooooooooooot
