All Pro Fab build - part 2

P1010001.JPG

ok, we tried this once and there were some concerns. for those that were concerned about the rear link lower heim, the builders thank you for the concerns and offering your advice. they changed the mount from horizontal to vertical to give the heim a chance to work with the load caused by the force of the coilover. Thanks to everyone concerned and hope this is a better design. the builders welcome comments and advice. they may change things again too as nothing is ever permanent.

Now just change the single shear mounts on the front links and it will be all good

Looks good. those rear mounts look better. I applaud your/builder ability to take criticism constructively and build a stronger setup. Most peeps egos are too big to do that.

What is going to stop that coilover from forcing the heim to roll to the side and bind? That's the exact reason people use bushings on setups like this.

It's a wishbone that the coil-overs are mounted to.

looking cool, but why mount the coilovers to the arms instead of the axle? Seems will be a lot less stress on teh heims, since now they will be supporting the rigs weight??

Those heims are big enough to not really sweat now that they are facing a better direction. Sometimes there is not enough room to mount to the axle and/or, it's just more practical for this build to put them there...either way, it will be just fine. Also, though the amount isn't that much on this application, mounting them on the arm gives you more travel with less shock.

JJ, I'd gusset those lower tabs a bit more...they will take some hits from time to time, plus the stresses of carrying the weight. It's just a little "safety" to add some strength..."just in case".

Looks good and it's nice to see a shop take advice and fix it NOW, instead of hearing, "I told you so" later...which would not be good at all.
