just thinkin bout X-Mas gifts--

just sittin here thinkin-(which i shouldn't do too often), and past Christmas gifts.

Which would YOU prefer- ?- those from the heart, or those from the wallet ??

Myself-- (and i do still have 6 kids left)-- of the presents i have received over the years, those that i STILL treasure, are those that the kids MADE for me-- not those that were bought from some store !
one daughter was working in a casino in Miss., she happened to see one of my favorite musical groups sitting in the casino--

Now on my wall is a 8x10 frame with a background of black paper, trimmed in lace, with a business card photo, a small pic of one guitar, a napkin with the autographs of the group-ZZ Top.


She was THINKING of ME.


Every morning when i am getting my shoes and socks on, i sit in my bedroom chair, pull up the wood foot stool that one of my sons made for me in wood shop---

at some time in the kids day, he thought of ME.

today the wife asked me what i wanted for X-mas----

what i would want the very most, won't happen- all the kids in one place at the same time- just for a cup of coffee or something- just one round of hugs-

REALLY tho, the things that would mean the most to me--- would cost just a bit more than postage, and a little bit of time/thought.

I don't need a bottle of aftershave, a gold chain, a new truck, a pair of slippers, or even a new watch--
