45 SWB how much?

could buy a swb 45 but no bed, dented up. What do you think it is worth? Motor runs. missing one corner window glass needs complete 40 stuff to replace front end, running boards, doors, no seats.

tough call, depends on the rust and dents. i'd say $2-4k at the most.

i hear ya. i would'nt pay more than $1k for it. my initial estimate might have been a little high, should have read the post better.

i'd still say it's prolly worth 1-2k. removable hard top or not?

If the roof and the back of the cab are not rotted, they're worth 1k all by themselves!

SCORE!

Obviously there's a LOT more to this story than meets the eye.

A second FJ45 hardtop in the backround? Almost the same color as Pardi's rig too. Hmmm.

You could sell those trimmed out fenders to some Pirate guy looking to buggy out his rig on the cheap. Not that I would know anything about that.

mark, i think you're off on this one. first off, i believe by the fauna and the fact that the buyer is in OR, the 45's gotta be in OR as well.
second, that top is the stock licht blue cruiser color. john's lid is a greenbluemetalicwhatchamacallits.

but the existance of a 2nd top is intriguing, ain't it?!

I don't think it is a 2nd top

As I look at the edge of the blue one in the background I get the impression it is something from a 40 since it does not have the correct door contour line??? Anyone else see that.

I talked to the guy that ows the truck awhile back. He said he sold the other cab. Says the motor ran like 6 years ago and hasnt been started since, says fenders are trash, interior is stripped out and the tub has some minor damage. Sounds like if your are buying, buy its for the cab, tub, and frame/title. It would have been a cool project but damn Ive got too many old junkers.

Well....

The truck turns out to actually have a 116" wheelbase so it is a Longbed without the bed.

back is pretty good but the roof has plenty of dents though is not rusted through. First time I've seen original soft doors. Did they normally have plexi for main windows? Anyone re-canvas theirs before?

There is a great write up on re-canvasing doors in the new Toyota Trails
