Get a bid on Seamless first. You'll find it's pretty competitive in price and a hell of a lot less hassle.

Make sure the slut is included...shouldn't have to pay extra for that.

Another vote for seamless, those guys will have it done before you can get all your tools out.

My vote is:
a: you screw them up, they don't drain and fill with water and tear off the house. b: you fall of the ladder before you get done. I'm praying for B.

Seams definitely suck.
Might want to look into some sort of screens if you have trees nearby.

The stuff at home depot sucks. Not only is it a way lower quality, it makes the intall harder. The plastic is ugly and sucks for alot of reasons. If your gonna do it get the steel. Hopefully your house is white or brown becuase those are the only two colors you will find. It is very thin, maybe 32ga. standard steel gutter is min. 28ga. Alum is .027" or .032". It is also smaller with a 4" open at the top compared to 5". Anyways, get the steel, spike and ferrule it every 3' or everyother rafter. Dont buy the connector joints, just overlap your sections 2", notch the top so it fits real nice. Start at the high side, furtherst from the downspout, dont get carried away trying to slope it. Just want a little bit. If you have drip edge (flashing) the gutter needs to slide up under/behind it. As far as sealant, rainbuster, or any polyurethane sealant. |

Do not get the vinyl shit. I made my builder put gutters on my house, and they fucking suck. Every joint leaks, the downspouts leak, they sag from the Texas sun, and algae grows on them like you wouldn't believe. One of my coworker's husbands is buying a seamless gutter business, and I'm hoping he'll make me a good deal. You wanna buy some used vinyl gutters? I'll make you a good deal?

I got a quote today $2.50 a ft. Save $1 if I take 'em down myself - custom color aluminum seamless.

Look for some guys that work for a gutter company. Ask em if they give a "cash" on the side deal. We did em cheap and pocketed the money
