Mickey Thompson tires
To ease the financial burden of the extra stuff (axle turning or new preturned axle, wheels & tires, new gears, 3rd member rebuild supplies and shop time) I'll need when I do the SOA, I'm going to go ahead and get the new 15x10" wheels (that I'll be putting the 35s on) when I replace my worn Toyos. I'm looking at Mickey Thompson 31x11.5 Baja Radials on Summit and was wondering how they behave for a DD that sees a lot of highway time (I live in Spokane, WA and frequently visit my family and fiance just north of Seattle). Summit's the only place I've looked so far. Haven't checked the local tire places to see what else is available, but I'm just wondering if the Mickey Thompsons are a viable choice for a DD rig.
Thoughts, opinions?

I would say no. I had them on my old rig for a while and they sucked on the street. The did aweful on wet pavement, and in Washington, I dont think it ever stops raining. I have heard the sidewalls on the radials were weak, mine were bias. The tread design is just not condusive to street driving.
