Jeb for President!!!!!!!!
Bush Backs Brother Jeb for White House May 10 10:53 AM US/Eastern By NEDRA PICKLER Associated Press Writer ORLANDO, Fla. President Bush suggested Wednesday that he'd like to see his family's White House legacy continue, perhaps with his younger brother Jeb as the chief executive. The president said Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is well-suited for another office and would make "a great president." "I would like to see Jeb run at some point in time, but I have no idea if that's his intention or not," Bush said in an interview with Florida reporters, according to an account on the St. Petersburg Times Web site. The president said he had "pushed him fairly hard about what he intends to do," but Jeb has not said. "I have no idea what he's going to do. I've asked him that question myself. I truly don't think he knows," Bush said. Jeb Bush, 53, will end his second term as governor in January. His brother George ends his second presidential term in January 2009. Neither can seek re-election because of term limits. Jeb Bush has repeatedly said he is not going to run in 2008. But even his own father said no one believes him when he says he's not interested in running at some point. Former President George H.W. Bush told CNN's "Larry King Live" last year that he would like Jeb Bush to run one day and that he would be "awfully good" as president. The Florida governor laughed when asked about his father's comments last June. "Oh, Lord," he said and shook his head no. "I love my dad." The brothers Bush appeared together Tuesday during the president's visit to the Tampa area. Gov. Bush was waiting on the tarmac when Air Force One arrived and greeted the president with a politician's handshake and "Welcome to Florida." The president brushed aside the formality and playfully adjusted his younger brother's necktie. Jeb Bush introduced his brother at a retirement community in Sun City Center, where the president touted the new Medicare prescription drug benefit as the governor watched intently from a politically appropriate seat on stage right. They had a private lunch together with political supporters, then visited a fire station and appeared together before television cameras to express concern about wildfires that were blazing across the state. The governor was not with the president during his visit to The Puerto Rican Club of Central Florida in Orlando Wednesday _ George W. Bush's final stop on a three-day trip to the state. But the president was sure his brother still got some attention. "Yesterday I checked in with my brother," President Bush said as he took the stage. "Make sure everything's going all right. I'm real proud of Jeb. He's a good decent man and I love him dearly." ___ On the Net: http://www.whitehouse.gov http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/05/10/D8HGVTAG1.html |

I think Rudy is the only one that can beat Hillary, and as far as Jeb goes, nope, I think I have voted for my last Bush.

I'd still vote for Bush if given the same choices again but the list of "he's starting to piss me off" is getting larger it seems. Mainly the border deal is the big one for me, vote for another Bush? If my other choice is the Hildabeast you betcha, I sure hope that's not the choices tho.

I'm afraid that if there is not some dramatic changes in the the war, some substanial changes in border security and gas prices the Republicans and going to get awfully bloody during the 08 campagines... As for Jeb running I think that would be the worst possible choice. althought I would vote for him, I'd have to hold my nose... McCain, I'd just have to not vote at all, and thats almost like a vote for a DemocRat...It ain't gonna be purty...

1) Jeb was the chosen successor to the 'Bush Legacy' not George W. He got the nomination on a fault. He was NEVER supposed to run for anything.
2) Jeb is a million times better than his brother. Plus he married a mexican, Colomba, and all his kids do NOT take after him. -his older son, George P was once referred to as the 'hunky ricky martin look-a-like' if that clears it up for you. So he's going to pull in the minority vote, unlike his brother. 3) his daughter is only in rehab for prescription drugs, little jeb was caught having sex in the back of a grand cherokee in tallahassee and a few other fun facts. i used to go to school with little jeb, after 9-11 he had two FDLE (FL Dept of Law Enforcement) guys with him 24 hours a day....nothing like sending his officers to the front door to tell local sheriffs to 'f*ck off' when they would try to bust up a party

His ideas on Health Care funding, and what he's doing in Massachussets (still untested) will be intersting to follow. Some areas of concern (snapped from Wikipedia for ease): Environment Romney supports regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, although he is "unsure whether climate change is occurring and whether human activity is causing it." Romney opposes the controversial Cape Wind offshore wind farm proposal because it would be visually unattractive. _______ No visible position I've found on Energy policy or foreign policy. His position on the wind farms is selfish. He's got a ways to go before becoming a viable candidate |

I would have preferred Jeb to GW, but that was not to be. I actually like McCain
But I'd vote for just about anybody other than Hildabeast. In fact if satan ran (if I believed in fairy tales), I'd vote for him over Hillary. I'd vote for a green peace canidate before I'd vote for Hillary.

So, lets talk about Rudy, can his background hold up to a REALLY hateful investigation. Could his ugly divorce kill his chances?

So on this Romney character, is he worth a crap. I am a "die-hard" republican, and would never vote democrap. However, I think that it is time to look past the facade of "republican" and "democrat" and find someone who can really run this country. I would run myself, but I have a feeling that my feelings of "FAWK YOU, (insert country here). You're funding is GONE. Next time, try supporting the the U S of Fuckin' A" or some other line like that. I have no desire to support a country that is on our tit, but won't lift a finger to support/help us in any conflict. I would close off the border to C 'eh N 'eh D 'eh along with blockading our southern border.
Of course, I would annex clear down to the Panama Canal so there is less to defend. I want changes dammit (boy, did I loose my train of thought or what...)

His position is selfish? <shrug> It would be visually unattractive for his constituents. He is looking out for his constituents... Clearly a case of NIMBY... He hasn't said he would veto the legislation, however, only that he opposes it because it would be ugly... Is a Mormon electable? I don't know. Is it worth finding out? Sure. ![]() Is there any reason a Mormon is any more poorly suited to serve as President than anyone other individual? Nope. Bear in mind that several Mormon's have run for President, and there are many, many Mormon's serving in both State and Federal Congresses...
