How much to bid: 1975 Oshkosh

Damn, pull the sandbox off the back and this sucker would be a mean crawler. Goes on auction tommorrow accross the street. Whadda ya think? Maybe 2K for a 4x4 BEAST!

Ummm... Beefy transfer case:

A few leaves on the front axle:

Shoulda got some photos of the inside. There's transfer case levers everywhere, plus plenty of hydraulic controls. Full set of chains come with it.

Wonder if they'l throw in a plow blade?

I don't think that would make an awsome crawler at all.

You could always sell off the sand box fer some dough-maybe even to a losing bidder if you were to buy the rig. Awesome looking beast. Could be a great help to bring rock, etc. on trail repair days on the Con fer example.

Well, the Oshkosh went for a suprising $3,000 even to a local lumber company. To soothe my loss, I bought a 5'x5'x1' vaccuum press, originally used for signmaking. Includes all the official county vinyl and lots of letters and numbers.

I plan to rework the vaccuum chamber (it has 20-375 watt bulbs in it) into a pressure molding machine for making my own molded plastic parts. This beast runs on 50 A 220 V, and can suck the chrome off a trailer hitch.

Not bad for $125.
