This 351 engine runs much cleaner that the old 360.
Might have to change back to the old style air cleaner if emission testing was ever to became necessary.
Truck was being set up for a big block Ford until I got side tracked on a 454 Chevy for my 1st generation Bronco.

I guess you don't want to answer my question. Im not going to argue with you. I know if i wanted to buy your truck it will need smog. if you want to sell your truck to me then let me know if it will pass a smog. If not your selling a ilegel truck in california.

No it won't. Anything 75 and older no longer requires a smog certificate. Sorry, but you are wrong. They repealed the 30yr exemption a couple years ago, and set it at 1975 and older vehicles. Anything 76-and younger must pass. That is it.

Reason that guy in the link you posted had an issue is because it was a 1976. It still needs, and now always will require a smog cert even if its purchased in a non-smog county. If it was a 1975, it wouldn't require squat.

The following was taken directly off the CA.gov website:
http://www.smogcheck.ca.gov/StdPage....ck/doineed.htm

"Beginning April 1, 2005, the 30-year rolling exemption has been repealed. Instead, vehicles 1975 model-year and older will be exempt. Therefore, 1976 model-year and newer vehicles will continue to be subject to biennial inspection indefinitely.

Beginning April 1, 2005, vehicles being initially registered in California that were previously registered in another state are exempt if the vehicle is a 1975 and older model-year vehicle. Newer vehicles, the first 6 model years, are not exempted upon initial registration in California. These vehicles are required to undergo a Smog Check Inspection. "

If you were to purchase the truck and it had to smog, I would make the necessary adjustments.
It would pass
