Rhino, Ranger,Prowler owners

I know there are lots of 4X4 owners out there who are now side X Side owners as well. I think we could use our own forum topic. Any Rhino/Ranger/Prowler owners out there agree?

This is one of the fastest growing off road groups ever.

There were 3 Rhinos and one Ranger racing the Baja 500 this year. Only one finished but that is a rough SOB. There were 17 Rhinos at the last Best in The Desert race in Parump NV. There were 28 of them at the Ultimate Sand Car Challenge in Pomona last month. they stole the show. There is a cool video on Blackrhinoperformance.com on their forum. Like it or not, these things are here to stay. The UTVRA is talking to many different racing organizations to add SXS events to their programs. Oh yea and...If you get one for your wife/girlfriend you will have a hall pass anytime you want it.

Relax Rick.....I know it's hot over ther right now....Dos locos has a couple of the most capable Jeep rockcrawlers around...and he's building a new buggy that will be pretty damn kick ass.....

The SXS's don't wanna take over just have a little slice of the pie....And as with all the other sanctions? That peice will end up being pretty big after a while.

I have to agree. I've been seing alot of the pop up on the trail. Mostly owned by the folks that can afford a $10k spare toy, for when they break their rockwelled crawler.

I am calm bud and I'm sure you know how hot it is. supposed to be 122* today. But any way, I personaly think the "G" golf carts are just another trendy thing to piss money away on. And I have not seen one go for less than $17000 here. If you gave me one I wouldn't burn it to the ground, I would enjoy the shit out of it. But I am not going to spend 10 to 20+ thousand on one. Thats why I hate them I have enough expensive habits, and I am easily tempted.

killing the urge,
Easy Rick.

You and me both....They are 100 x better then the "golf cart" you refer to them as.....I rode with locos and a few others one night and we were rinnin up a sandy boulder filled wash and doin about 30+ teh while time until one of our friends didn't see one of the boulders that was half the sie of his Rhino and nailed it about 25 and all theat happened was a popped sidewall and a bent tie rod.....If I'd of done that in my Junk? Prolly a bent the wheel, tie rod, radius arms, as well as popped the tire and who knows what else? They are a little under powered for my taste but i used to have a 84 Toy 4x4 with a SBC and my 3rd vehicle I owned was a chevy LUV with a built SBC....I get teased regularly for bein too friendly with the skinny pedal...

I love those trends! The lifted G- cart trend has been around for over ten years now and most of the guys who scored on that trend have slid into the SxS market now and are doing even better. True it is easy to dump 10-20K into one of these things but I know of alot of rock buggies that are pushing 50K + not to mention the sand car guys with their 150K sand rockets. Yamaha made about 16000 rhinos the first model year (2004) and looks like they are projecting about 130,000 units for '07, Yea! I like those trends. A Rhino in every garage I say!

We abused the hell out of a couple Polaris Rangers, they were a blast, and always ran great if you could keep the idiots from driving with the choke on.

We've got John Deere Gaytors now, and personally, I'd rather walk than drive one of those POS's.
