Move over to the slow lane Bugatti Veyron, A faster car is approaching

http://www.leftlanenews.com/2006/07/...s-fastest-car/

Quote:
The Bugatti Veyron may no longer be the world's fastest car. Today — following a number of teasers and leaks — Barabus officially unveiled the TKR: a new 1005 horsepower supercar the automaker says is capable of doing zero to 60 mph in 1.67 seconds. What's more, the car reportedly has a top speed of 270 mph — nearly 20 more than the Veyron. Power comes from a 6.0 liter V8 twin-turbocharged with dual intercoolers

Why ????? They accomplished what they wanted without all the "hi-tech".
I bet that "old school" motor cost a metric ton less money than the "hi-tech".

well I was thinking since they were going full tilt nasty as it was that they would have gone distributorless and overhead cam. just an observation.

overhead valve engines do keep the CG down though

try again. Clearly SBC.

Well I for one would sure like to see that thing hold up @1005hp. Does seem odd that they kept the standard distributor.

I'll call BS on that 0-60 time, no way it's gonna pull that off in under 2 seconds. Even with AWD it'd have to be running some wrinkle wall drag tires to hookup the power to pavement.

when RIDES was hosted by jason presley they visited a shop called RAD RIDES BY TROY, troy tripainia[sp]. some guy[one of his buddies] hada 89-94 corvette with an efi/turbo sbc that they boasted at 1200hp, they also boasted a similar -2 sec 0-60. it was the episode where they were building a cuda for joe rogan.

That looks like a sketch that a 3rd grader might draw on his tablet in a fit of boredom during math class.

And the Bugatti is fuckin' ugly too....No...make that hideous. I don't give a crap how fast it is, it's the billionaire's equivalent to a 9 second Renault LeCar.
