California -156 years ago.......
Do you know what happened this week back in 1850, in California?
California became a state. The State had no electricity. The State had no money. Almost everyone spoke Spanish. There were gun fights in the streets. So basically, it was just like California today except the women had real breasts and men didn't hold hands.

twas on the news tonite that 'white' is officially the minority race in Calif !!!!!
i remember when------ better not go there -- i ; bought gasoline for $.11 a gallon cokes were $.05-- in the machines Cracker Jacks were .05 there was no TV-- (vaccum tube radio) a pack of cigarettes--.10 the normal speed on the highway---45-48 tops a good bit of highway was THREE lane- (north/south/passing lane for both n/s !!) a GOOD monthly pay check was $400 a Red Rider BB gun cost $7.00 (wood stock) all toys were wood or metal--- no plastics yet !! a lot of the pennies in change were ZINC most of the nickles had a buffalo on the back an expression of extreem speed--- "goin like 60 !!!!!!!!!" first car--- 48 DeSoto convertable--- new tires, new top, new seat covers, new paint, rebuilt engine---- $75
