what to do with my cedar trees
i have about 12 trees from say 8" up to i'd say 16" max diameter. they are about 50-60' tall. the will be fallen by a pro(near the house) any how i know cedar burns very hot so i could use them for starter wood to light off the massive amount of oak i have. aside from firewood and fencing what could i use these trees for. i could get my hands on a mill machine and turn the majority into lumber if i wished. but what size and such i have no idea.

mill it for siding and fencing. build youself a shop, and/or shed and side it with that cedar. knock up a few hundred feet of fencing to keep those pesky old lady neighbors from viewing your piss breaks.
cedar resists fungus, mold, and wood destroying pests, obviously.

I'll go out of my way to stack some cedar on the firewood rack (hard to find around here). I have an outdoor fire pit on the back patio I burn it in. Cedar smells good and keeps the skeeters away. I pops a little though, throwing flaming sparks when it does, so inside is not good.

See if a mill will buy it, if not see about finding someone with a portable mill might buy it, I think if you contact woodmizer they will tell you who has them in your area..
burns like paper and pops alot, not good inside. Soot up a chimney fast with it.

I'd sell it. If you go to a local flea market, you may see people who use it for chainsaw art and stuff like that. They'll usually pay pretty good money for stuff that's already cut.

In Oregon, its not likely aromatic cedar - more likely Western Red Cedar or if you were really lucky - Port Orford.
Mill it for siding and decking, use the smaller stuff for posts and fencing. It also makes excellent dock flotation.... If it was big PO cedar, sell it to a mill who will sell it to me!

I would check with the local logging suppley store and find someone with a portable mill. You might get it milled for free if you split the take. Mills won't buy logs out of your yard, too much risk of finding a nail. you might at least get some free fence boards.

Have it sawed into true 2x8's and 2x6's and send it to me = I'd love to have it as sub-flooring.

other than they are in the way, dying and to close to the house or and they make a mess and they are not port orfords(arborist told me so) they are iirc western red cedars. i may have access to a mill but the little shit who lived here prior drove many nails into other trees so the bottom chunk will get burned
