New Ride for the Farm
Earlier in the year, I bought a 4x4 Golf Cart to hunt out of. It is a killer rig, but when it is raining or cold (yes in 100% humidity it gets cold in MS), the cart is kinda crappy.
We were picking up some round bales from my dad's oldest friend 2 weeks before Christmas and he had a 4x4 Suzuki Carry. Dad took it for a spin and was sold. We slapped on some 24" ATV tires and with the 6 speed tranny (granny low) and the locking rear diff, it is a kick ass little rig. I was not sold at first so I kept my Cart. Well, after punishing Dad's little truck and having it go through all the stuff my Yamaha Rhino will do in the mud, I decided to dump the Golf Cart and get myself one. This one is a Mitsubishi MiniCab. Same 660 cc engine, but instead of a granny low, mine has a 4 speed with a transfer case. I lifted it with 3" TJ coil spacers and some longer shackles. Mine runs 25" Goodyears. Mine is open F/R, but I plan on pulling the rear 3rd and welding the spiders after hunting season. Dad's is a 1997 and had 10,000 original miles on it, mine is a 1994 with 35,000 miles. Both run great, but mine is a little more worn. I busted a short side CV when I got it bound up the other day ![]() Other than that, these things are the shit. They are called Kei trucks and a bunch of folks out there make them and are importing them. Both mine and my dad's sold for around $6000. They have heat, A/C and can be registered for road use. Mine will go 55mph with the 25's on it. Stock I bet it would run 65 or so. Cool rigs.....

That would be so much fun. I can't wait for the "New Ride for the Farm v2.0"
They have a bunch of the little cushman thingies on campus that look alot like that. I always thought it would be a good investment to get one and be able to park right infront of my classes

I want a white one with "Texas Tech University" wrote on each door with plain black letters. Park in the back of every building, smoke Marlboro red 100's, whistle at the girls, and I'll fit right in with every other maintenance guy at Tech.

Those pop up at government auctions every so often...
if I sold my golf cart and then the 100 series, I could be like Nolen. I already sold my 80, and if I sold my 55, I could be like Kaderabek. ![]() bk

No I did. I am sitting on my ass right now reading my manuals for a new job with 100% commission. I think I will be broke for a while. I am selling off quite a few toys that I bought in the last year. My Dad bought the Mini Trucks. He has the fetish for these things. I have the 4x4 cart, my 100 series and a Gas Yamaha Pro Hauler to get rid of and a few guns. My allowance from my wife won't get me too far

Sorry to hear about the job Nolan. Least your up in an area you seem to enjoy. When the oilfield crashed a while back and my dad lost his job and we were lucky to be in Sonora and not Laredo where they were about to send him The job change was more of a blessing, which we didn't realize till later, since he was actually home a lot more then before and was worth the loss in income. If you need a place to store your buggy and keep you from breaking it, I know of a place

Did yours have 4th gear blocked out with a plate? My uncle had one and it was a lot more fun when we found 4th.
They are pretty cool

We did a 8 inch lift with ATV tires and painted it KTM orange on a golf cart, the thing looked way cool.
Also drove a couple of those little buckets, they are becoming a dime a dozen here in Canada, they are fun.

I still would have bought a Halflinger. 70:1 crawl ratio, front and rear lockers, street legal, etc.
