1.6 16v STARTING issues in samurai, runs GREAT?!

Ok, I've got my 1.6 16v in my samurai but I have a STARTING problem...

She cranks nice and fast, the injectors seem (unconfirmed..) to pulse, sparks seem to fire, but it does NOT COLD START...

Once the engine is running, she idles perfectly, the cold fast idle works, no stumbles, hesitations, and sounds GREAT with an open header
She'll HOT start PERFECTLY, maybe 1.5 seconds on the starter and vroomm, fast idle for a sec, then settle down to 800 ish rpm..

I am ONLY able to COLD start the truck by squirting carb cleaner into the brake booster line (then reconnect the hose..), open the throttle a bit, then fire. It'll cough for a second (carb cleaner is not gasoline..), then the gas/normal operations kick in and she's perfect.. wtf?

If I shut it down COLD after it is running by itself, I can not restart it (like 10 seconds after starting/running off the carb cleaner, when the engine is running off the gasoline..).

Again, once she's warmed up, starting is NOT an issue. When @ operating temp, idles great (maybe a little pop here and there, no o2 sensor, open header..), and will restart PERFECTLY..

Any sugguestions on where to start? ECU coolant temp? air temp? distrib, timing?
help?

do you have one of those valves to let hot air into the intake from a jacket on the exhaust manifold? suppose that valve is malfunctioning, it's possible maybe your intake is closed. ?????
i think it would be vacuum actuated, check the vacuum lines everywhere.

Irrilevent on the hot air setup.. The 16v does not have a hot air pickup on the header.. I have NOT checked the vacuum lines as it runs PERFECTLY when it warms up or after it first "catches" on the carb cleaner in the brake booster line.. I can make it run BAD by making a vacuum leak... She puuuuuuuuuurs...

Does you fuel pump run when you first turn the key? Should run for a few seconds and quit till you crank it.

Is it connected the black/Yellow wire to the starter fron the ecu? It feeds extra fuel during starts.-

The fuel pump is hardwired on with a different battery for testing purposes..

Does your fuelpump give enough pressure? When pressure is below specs, ECU prohibits starting... .

Yes, verified with an inline EFI pressure gauge.. I think it was 30 ~ 40 psi...

Once it STARTS, she runs GREAT, just no start without a fuel boost..
