1986(I think) Toyota 4x4 pickup.

ATTN: TRUCK IS A 1987, NOT A 86!!!! And please read the whole thread, there is more info lower.

Pics below. I have a 1986 (I think, the pink slip is at home. Ill check monday) pickup, reg-cab 4x4, 22r, A/C, new seat, newish carpet, newish dashmat. NO POWER STEERING!!

Here is the story on the truck. My buddys dad is a house painter, he took the truck in trade for some painting work. The guy he got it from said it has a new engine. He said had a new engine put in because his kid was going to drive it. But but the kid found something else to drive. There is no paperwork to back up the engine thing. But the engine is very clean and runs strong so I tend to belive it.

Anyway, my buddys dad got it and his wife drove it for over a year with no problems. Then I bought it to build, but changed my mind.

It has a couple things wrong. The glove box latch is broken. The heater/A/C fan wont work. The tires have lots of tread, but some old age cracking. Drivers side door wont open from the inside. Its been sitting for a long time so the battery may not be good anymore. I have only drove this truck maybe 50 miles. It hesitated sometimes while speeding up.

I had it in the shop to see what was up with it. The alternator was bad so they fixed that and messed with the carb a little. They say it runs fine now. I didnt get a chance to drive it except onto the trailer and back to storage.

Truck passed smog just fine. And I will will smog it again Monday. Its just a pain in the ass cause its not insured and in storage so I have to load it on the trailer and take it to the smog place.

I paid $2000 for the truck. Tax and fees were $200. The alternator and whatever else they did was $300.

Comes with a full tank of gas.

I am selling this truck because I need some medical tests that are big $$$$.

I will sell this truck for $2000. That is as low as I will go period. I will not budge on price. But if you buy it I will deliver it to you within a couple hours of me.

Truck is in Yuba City, CA.

And for gods sake PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont make me put this on craigslist.

Im not sure what you mean. As far as I know the truck has not been in any accidents. I dont have a carfax for it or anything.

Ok Hears the deal. The truck is an 87 not a 86, opps.

Anyway, I have decided that since I have barely driven the truck I will put some miles on it in the next few days. Just to make sure there are no bugs that I have not listed.

I washed and cleaned the truck as much as I care to clean an old truck. Its not perfect, but its fine. The truck does hesitate a little under hard acceleration, but it runs great. I would keep it if I didnt need the money. And the brake light does stay on even after you take the ebrake off. The brakes work fine though. I tested them well today

Also I just had the oil changed and all the fluids checked today. The windshield sprayer still works! Going through the glove box papers shows newer shocks and battery.

Ummmmm hell.

Tryed to smog it today, I stopped at a gas station to get a soda, came back out started the truck and it wouldnt idle. Stopped by my smog place told them nevermind, and started my drive home. After a few minutes of driving and it would idle fine?

I think ok cool, almost home stop in a different smog station to get the test. The guy drives it in the bay and now it wont idle again?

Drive it around a few minutes towards home and its fine again!!!

So anyway here what im going to do. If you buy it like it is running funny and no smog I will sell it for $1750. I figure $200 is more than enough to fix it, and the $50 is for a smog when its fixed.

Be fast if you want this cause if I fix it this weekend the price stays the same.
