Cool Ultimate Tour Pirate Style - Part X 12 days!

Okay folks, less than 2 weeks 'til the kickoff. To answer a couple of questions left over from earlier, yes JackA trip leaders should be figuring out meeting times & places. It's up to the individual trip leaders if they want to publish the meeting time here, or if they want the participants to get in touch with them.

Looks like a couple of these stops have no real interest & will likely be schitcanned.

Alot of land is being closed due to fire restrictions. I'll find out the whole scoop. Then let everybody know what the deal is.

Badlands in Attica

I just came from a day trip to Attica and talked to Troy about this run planned for the 25th of June. It was the first he had heard of it but welcomes one and all to "bring it" ! He will be there and so will a small group of others (unless we spread the word).

Somebody (maybe Woody) might want to get a list of who is up for the extreme stuff and set some reasonable equipment requirements for Troy's trail. 35"s, locked both ends, full cage, winch, spares and tools, and expected body damage would be my recomendation. There are many other areas to wheel there if you want to make the trip and don't meet the requirements, or don't want damage!

We'll be at the WVCCORJ with some other local folks - hope to see some of you there.

As for the July 12 Paragon run, we are all set with the park. Admission is $35 per vehicle and $5 per passenger. Please e-mail me at jackiecooper@comcast.net if you plan to attend. I need an idea of who is coming and what you're driving so we can plan trails. I will then send you all of the final details.

Who's in charge of the MN ride? I've sent out a few (PM) emails but no response. Who is Dana27?

If that ride was planned for Rolling Stone, that area has been closed. We should work on getting a new location. I can work on that if help is needed. I know some of the group that were responsible for that area.

Someone in the know contact me via PM or email.

I think Woody knows Troy. He has run "Troy's new the trail" before. I personally have only ran the park a few times. I'm glad to see someone has talked to him. I have a trip planned for the weekend after next (8th and 9th)I'll try to introduce myself while I'm there. I look forward to meeting all you fawkers.

TEX:
Take me off the Monteagle, TN list. I'm not going to make that one.

HOYDEN!

jackie, were you at last years WVCCORJ? How many are coming with you. There should be enough guides for all the scheduled groups so all the PBB can run a couple of trails together.
We have several new trails this year. What rigs and specs so Rockzooki and I can get a few trails in mind for the PBB group?

Elusive: I see that you will be at Tellico on 6/30, but what are the other stops if any thru 7/4?

Looks like I may be able to make the Tellico run.

Thanks

more conflicts..

this isnt at all like me, but my wife is getting surgery done on the 26th of june and I will be unable to make the tellico trip the 4th. I will be in uwharrie on the 21-24 june and I'll be able to go back to uwharrie any time in early july as I have off work, but tellico is too far. I was also planning a good mud run and possibly a beach crawl in early july that i can still host....

So whats up with the H2H run? If there is no Farmington run, how about running on Saturday the 8th? When & where are you meeting? A H2H night run would be sweet!

I'm out of the H2H run for sure, as my junk's getting new Dana 60s. You guys should double-check land closures. Pretty sure H2H is on BLM land, which is still mostly open, but you have to cross State Trust land to get to it, which is closed due to fire danger.

My personal opinion is that no one should be out there due to the extreme drought and fire hazard we're experiencing. Also, there are some pretty hefty fines if you get caught on closed State lands. Take it for what it's worth.

Yes, we had to cancel our crawling event in the Rock Garden near Farmington, but we have some wheeling planned for this weekend with a bunch of out of towners. Will be going to the Garden, anyone that is in the area and wants to go there will be some very stout rigs there and all kinds of wheeling up to insane. Contact Rock Garden 4 Wheelers pres. Steve George at nsgeorge@cyberport.com for where and when to meet, etc.

I'm in for the Badlands for sure and probably Slade. Monteagle doesn't look good right now because of work. Paragon also depends on work but I'm definitely going to try and make it

ABOUT MOAB...

as far as a fire hazard goes we should be fine...

unless I come up with 2k and 30 hours of free time to wrench my rig is not moving....BUT that really shouldn't be a problem...I have a buddy (acctually the one who named the trail) that may be able to go...or I can do a ride along thing with somone and you can use my dumbass as a spotter/traction device..

one thing about Moab is if plans change for a trail or if any of you are half broke we can go do helldorado/rusty or whatever..as everything is pretty close by....

I guess I can make a minimum requirement guide for any of you who have'nt seen heard about proving grounds..

hear are the basics..it is Tough on drivetrain....need 60's or bigger for sure..(unless you are light or damn good driver)

need 38's and up and be locked up for sure (trail can be done with 35's if your used to moab)

Winch winch winch...(there is a spot for somone else with a winch to get you up...but if you flop or get in a bind you might get in trouble)

PM me or my email is Austin@pirate4x4.com put pirate tour in subject line

or I guess you could post back here with any questions!!! see ya all soon
