Missing Pet......:(

Okay...so this will sound silly. Maybe not, maybe...we lost a turtle today. Maybe yesterday...probably yesterday... **sigh**

We have 4 red-eared slider turtles. Mike has had them since they were the size of a silver dollar. They are the size of a salad plate now. They live in a big tub out back. They love it out there...they swim, they sun...but they are getting big, and we have needed to get them a bigger tank...

A couple of weeks ago, Axle got out. He must have climbed onto one of his brothers and jumped out. I know it sounds funny...but Axle is always wanting out. The others are more mellow...Axle wants to sow his wild oats. I caught him on the grass as he was *making a break for it*. We started looking for alternative living situations for them...

So tonight, I was BBQ-ing dinner, and I look down into the tank and count....1--2--3----3, only 3!! Shit!!!! I call out the troops...we spent most of the rest of the daylight hours looking for Axle. No luck. There is one spot in the fence where he could've gotten under...we have coyotes in the hills around us.

Bummer...he was my favorite turtle. He was always happy to see us. If he could wag his tail, he would. He has personality. So, now his brothers; Rod, Spike and Bubba have more room...but they just don't have the pizzaz that Axle did. Dang it. My poor turtle.

I don't mean to alarm you, but I think your turtles may be ghey. Don't fall for that "I was just giving him a masage" bullshit either.

No, we haven't found the poor dude yet... You guys are funny though...

My friend Tracy, here at work, said that her friend thought that their turtle was a boy and it was a girl and it disappeared to lay eggs!!!

I thought they were all boys....?? Dunno....now I have to go searching in the dirt, maybe??

Speaking of glitter, Mr. Dave.....I have yet to remove your latest delivery from my home...dammit.

The kids want to deliver flyers to all the houses on the street...I think Michael is going to make them after work and the kids will hand them out...

I told you to watch the other turtles. Axle is off working low paying maual labor jobs for cash right now, until he can save up enough money to send home to the others to help get them across the *border* too.

I wonder if a turtle weiner has foreskin

These things would have been good to know before you made the flyers.

Glad to know they're entertaining, when they aren't on the "run".

Good luck!!

My aunt had a few sliders. they liked to burrow in the lawn when they got out. Look for speed bumps in your grass, or any sandy areas.
