1978 Bronco. Chopped.

1978 Ford Bronco.
Location: San Diego.
Asking: $3000

I can't afford to put anymore money into it so I am letting it go.I did not build this truck for comfort, and it is bare bones as far as comfort features. But it is solid and super fun to drive. I have gone back and forth with selling this for a long time now and I have decided that I am going to try to get rid of it quickly before I change my mind again. This is a great truck and i am going to have a hard time handing the keys over to someone else. Here are some of the specs:
<br>

<br>
1. The most obvious thing I have done is to completely chop the top of this truck. I love the look and feel of the old blazers so I thought i would make my bronco completely unique and go topless. I have welded patch panels on the doors and b-pillers to cover the cuts. The doors are completely gutted minus the door handles.
<br>

<br>
2. Interior of the truck has also been gutted and the rear portion was sprayed with rhino lining. It has feded from being topless but it has held up great. I did a roll-on (herculiner) liner in the front half but the passenger side floorboard needs to be cut out and replaced so i have peeled alot of it off in that area. The rest of the interior is pretty solid. All the other rust I found i have ground out and treated with rust bullet which has stopped it from getting worse. Onlt rust in this truck is inside the cab, and in the door jambs. But nothing major or unfixable.
<br>

<br>
3. It has a 6 point roll cage in the rear which I had intended on extending all the way up, and welding seat belts to. It currently has no seatbelts.
<br>

<br>
4. 351M V8 with edlbrock intake and 600cfm 4 barrel carb. K&N air filter with aluminium case. I also have a set of fenderwell exit headers that i will include with the truck.
<br>

<br>
5. c6 transmission, np205 transfer case with 1350 rear u-joint conversion. Front is still the stock 1310. 4-wheel drive works and transmission still shifts solid.
<br>

<br>
4. High angle cv shaft front High Angle drivelines with 1350's at both ends.
<br>

<br>
5. Corperate 14 bolt 1-ton rear axle with 4:10 gears. Aluminum high-capacity diff cover with cooling fins. Disc brake conversion with 1-ton dual calipers and braided lines.
<br>

<br>
6.Dana 44 solid front axle with dual caliper conversion and 8-lug outers to match the rear.
<br>

<br>
7. 9" supension lift achieved with superlift 9" coils up front and a shackle flip in the rear. Added a zero-rate to the rear to move the tires back for added wheelbase and an extra inch of lift.
<br>

<br>
8. 38x14.5 parnelli jones dirt grip radial tires with 90-95% tread. 16x10 rock crawler soft 8 rims powdercoated black.
<br>

<br>
9. Custom front and rear bumpers with attachment points.
<br>

<br>
10. Various other little things like polyurithane body mounts, grant steering wheel etc...
<br>

<br>
What it needs: Engine runs strong but the carb looks like it may need some work or a rebuild. It might just be the electric choke which i have had problems with in the past. Needs some electrical work. Not much electrical left in the truck but dash lights and headlights/markers seem it lose current sometimes. Body is pretty straight and completely rust free except for one small spot on the rear passenger quater. I have ground out this spot and treated it with rust bullet and it has stopped, but the small holes are still there. Also has a wavy spot on the drivers side rear panel where i cut and wleded in a new patch panel. Could be smoothed out with some filler but i really wasnt worried about being pretty. Whole truck is done in black primer and there is some rust on the hood. The rust isnt actually in the hood but it is from where i was cutting the roof and the metal shaving landed on the hood and rusted into the paint. A good sanding and some paint and they will be gone..in fact i may do this myself if i have time. Like i said it is all primer so it could use a paintjob if so inclined.
<br>

<br>
I have probably forgot some things but i have described the truck to the best of my abilities. I also have a bunch of extra parts like carpet, door panels, msd ingnition, radius arm extenson, etc, that I will throw in with the truck. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I am open to offers so feel free. Thanks for looking.

Its on ebay right now, but I can end the auction if anyone is interested.
