Nicknames You Hate and/or Love

Okay...been having a conversation about nicknames---the positive and negative.

I was raised being called Kimmy. My family calls me Kimmy. NO ONE ELSE. My husbands have never called me that, and my friends don't either. It's just Kim...plain as it is.

I had a guy at work call me that, once (and I hated his ass)...I spun around and said, *Are we fucking? Cuz unless we are, you need to not be so familiar with me-- my name is Kim.*

Did I mention that I hated that guy?

On my ex husbands answering machine, he says, "Hi! This is Jonny...." it sounds so ghey I can't stand it. It's okay that the family calls him that...but that he is 40 and calling himself that...is

My grandfather was Frank, but everyone always called him Bud...

So, do you have a nickname? Do you hate it? Love it?

Do you have a nickname for someone else that they hate?

Some people call me Nae. Doesn't really bother me.

My mom's name is Elaine, and I call my sister E.J., for Elaine Junior. She hates that.

My family calls me Min. Not so much anymore, but there are still a few that won't let it go

Girlfriend kept screwing up my name when she would text or email - kept spelling it "Brain." She started calling me that and it stuck for quite a while. When her Mom started calling me that, things had to end.

My full first name is victor, my friends in high school used to call me sphincter. When I started lifting weights and got big, they started calling me sphincter muscle.

my nicknames been ponyboy for the last 15 years or so. now only my closest and oldest friends call my pony.

One of my nicknames is T-bone, dont know how or why i got it but it stuck since highschool.
Another nickname is from my neighbors daughter who is 2 yrs old and cant say my name correctly- my name is Brandon- so she calls me Barn so now my neighbors call me that too!
Some others but not so mentionable!

Well, being that my last name is "Bacon", the larger majority of people that I work with call me some form of Bacon-related food. Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger is the most popular.

I once had a teacher in 8th grade call me "Ham and Eggs".

My wife and her family are now the only ones that consistently call me "Jamie".

Jennifer. My mom calls me Denise cause she can't ever remember which child she is talking to.

My sister calls me Jenny, as does my husband and maybe three of my friends from school. To everyone else it's Jen. I rarely get called Jennifer, which is fine with me cause I don't like it anyway.
My sister is either sissy to me or Niece. Sometimes I call her Denny.

Growing up some people called me Nellie. Later on my nickname became Autumn. For the first year or so we were dating Steve called me Hillbillie but at least that stopped!

That is so funny cause it sounds like me. For me it's "Joey". I've joked that the only people who can get away with it are women I've slept with. Thankfully the current g/f hates it about as much as I do so she never says it

Had several over the years.

Due to one incident, with a different employer, my nickname was Rosy.

No-one but co-workers from that firm ever call me that, and than god, no-one at this company knows that.

But, I've had several over the years I guess. Just, due to different stages of growing up.

Now, it's just Wayne.

My friend is named Jen, and thanks to a stupid episode of Southpark and JLo (and her kisses tasting like tacos), I started calling her Hennifer. In return she started calling me Hefanie. That has since been shortened to Hef, and that's what a lot of people call me now. I don't hate it. Could be worse, like Beans when I was in 5th grade. Stupid tv show called Beans Baxter (my last name) ruined my life!

I go by Don or Donald but NOT Donny, not ever. My father forbid it! Donny was my Uncle's name and even though we lived 3,000 miles apart nobody was allowed to call me Donny. Every once in a while somebody will try to call me that and I usually don't even acknowledge them cause I think they are talking to somebody else.

My sister's name is Debbie. The whole family including Mom calls her that and she HATES it. She makes everybody else in the world call her Deborah. She even hated our last name so much that she had it legally changed.
