observations about BBQ'ing silroin burgers

Now don't get me wrong, i like a bbq'd burger as much as the next guy.

I just don't BBQ burgers ever. Always ribs, pork, chicken, fish, etc.

First observation is, i should watch the que for more often for fires. Man that ground sirloin meat is some fatty stuff. Second observation is, wow... it's greasy as hell. I felt the need to squeeze all the grease and water out onto a clean dishtowel so i'd know i wasn't consuming so much liquified lard.

Third observation is (i think)... i'll not BBQ sirloin burgers too much anymore.

well hollar. In a couple days I'm gonna boost the pirate discount to 15% because the price of shipping to california (where most fools that use the discount are from) has increased.

Don't tell pops I'm doing so. It's one of the perks of being in charge of everything in the background.

if you're boosting the discount to 15% - -

shouldn't i wait until it's activated?

i'm actually so low on the rub, i've only got one more "experience" before it's gone.

Someone sold you some not-so-lean sirloin burger.

Que 'em slower and longer. They're not steaks.

Did you read the package first? Next time get 95% lean. But watch it...the lack of fat makes them stick a bit.

Sounds like you need to buy some decent meat to start off with.
If it's all greasy you're buying garbage to start off with, so that's what you end up with.

Buy a whole brisket and have the butcher grind it for you. It's a cheap as the cheapest hamburger and it makes the best burgers you'll ever eat.

not when it's ground. Have them trim it and grind it fine.

that you bought shitty meat, so you ended up with a shitty burger.
