Nice, quiet rivers for rafting in CA?

You guys got any good recommendations for a cool river raft trip in CA?

Wife wants is nice and easy, so no whitewater crazy rapids or anything.
We just want to float down the slow moving river and enjoy the scenery.

I have my own raft and we're self sufficient.

Anyone got suggestions on where to start looking for such a perfect little trip?

We live in the Bay Area, and I think the best scenery would be anything toward Tahoe or Oregon.

Try Cache Creek (not the casino- but it is within a few miles). I went through there on with one of the tour companies. They sent us out on two man rafts and there is no guide (read-it is easy). Near the end of the day we did manage to flip the raft on a rapid called 'Widow Maker'. Mainly due to not paying attention. Check it out.

Truckee river. Beautiful scenery up near Tahoe and a nice calm float. You could do the Lower American in Sacramento but the scenery isn't as nice. Just google Truckee River, sounds to me like it's exactly what and where you are looking at.

Years ago, we used to canoe the Sacramento River from Redding to Red Bluff. Wrapped a few boats around bridge piers from being stupid, but pretty easy float back then. Last time I did it was 1972 so I don't know how things have changed since then.

Truckee River. Absolutely the best choice for what you specified. On top of that, the whole North Tahoe area is gorgeous.

My fiance and a bunch of her girlfriends rafted the Truckee last Saturday and they all had a blast. I'd probably just bite the bullet and go with an outfitter up there, use their gear and let them shuttle you have less worries that way.
