jeeps in car show
I'm not on here very often, but you probably know somebody else in these pics.
So We enrolled in a pretty big local car show with 3 jeeps. There were over 526 cars at the show. We had the only 3 jeeps there. I think we heard every line possible today. Some of the common ones were: How did you get them on top of each other like that??? Why are the tires so flat??? Some of the best ones were: Look mom/dad........monster trucks. Mommy why are they squishing the baby jeep??? Person 1: what happened over there??? person 2: i don't know. they weren't here when i got here. i just went to register my car, and when i came back there was a big wreck. (that was the best joke of the day) We had the Jeeps listed in the "Special Interest" Section. Only 2 winners were chosen. One of them was a PT Cruiser....the other was a Jeep. Left is my wifes 97TJ. Center is my 95XJ. Right is Sodaboys 93YJ. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And the 2nd award for Special Interest goes to.............Sodaboy in a 93 Jeep Wrangler. I accepted the award for Sodaboy cuz he decided to step out for a bit to have dinner with the family. When I went went up to the "stage" to get the award, they asked us if we thought drivers ed, or some other driving school because "that was the best damn park job on the whole lot".

I thought that was a Jeep FC in the 8th picture, but after further inspection it's a Furd.

haha. We've done car shows before. I won 2nd in 4wd last year next to an 80k sand rail! LOL!!
We've pulled the tire tricks as well! ![]() ![]() Stuff we heard. Kid: Daddy how did they do that? Dad: Well son, they took a very tall jack and lifted the rear of the jeep.... To which we told the kid the truth! LOL!! One year for our river festival they let us block off the street and do a mini monster car crush! Me trying to push it over. It trying to push me over! ![]() |

1. We have already discussed that is what I first thought it was, which would have made their jeeps not the only 3.
2. That's not a jeep FC-150. (Notice the lack of the Jeep 7 Grille slots) (EDIT: Upon further research in the area of forward control trucks, it seems to be a Ford Econoline Truck, Circa 1961-1965ish.) ![]() 3. Thanks for Playing, Please insert coin.

we entered three of our club's rigs in a local car show. We stacked them like that and got all sorts of comments. They loved it when we would change it up every hour or so.

We did that at a car show once too, got the same kind of reactions.
We were also in a parade and another group would stop and stack their rigs every once in a while. It was all fun till they flopped!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sodaboy hates my XJ. his words were something like "i freaking hate this piece of crap but the damn thing works". i tend to agree. when it snapps, no more unibodies for me. i'm getting a TJ. but for all of $400 into the suspension i can't complain. it does surprisingly well. when i'm getting props from guys with rigs like sodaboy on the trail, then i must doing something right. but the XJ body is paying for it. LOL

Car shows are
, too. Our club is affiliated with a car club. It's an easy way to get exposure to a lot of other motorheads, and a group that will willingly sign pro-motorized access petitions. One guy won 4x4 one year because his TJ didn't have any scratches on it yet. If you're not into car shows, you're wasting an afternoon that would be better spent on a trail. |
