Neither of mine could figure out the controls on their little Jeep until they were about 4, so I'd say too much for a 2 yr old.

I don't know who/what Peg Perego is, but I got sick of seeing that name in the ad.

Hell, just go ahead and buy it, if it's too much for them now, just think about how many mods you could add to it in two years when they're ready.

I was thinkin back and trying to remember my first dirt bike and couldnt remember if it was 2 or 3. But i mean how much damage could she really do to it or her self. From what ive picked up she does have good eye, hand and feet cord. Who knows she may pick up easily on how to drive it. But if not, it'll gimme time to mod it for her and just try it every once in a while.

The short list for my son would be:
  1. Run over neighbourhood kids
  2. Run over the dog
  3. Hit neighbours car
  4. Run over Grandma
  5. Roll it repeatedly
  6. Flatten Moms garden
  7. etc, etc, etc
  8. Easily drive under lifted rigs while trying decapitate oneself on the rocker

My nearly 4-year-old daughter will still only "fix" her PW Jeep.

Handlebars are easier to learn than steering wheels, but my 3yr old girl learned to steer the wheel of her big brothers jeep (same as above, but not as fancy) after only a few trys. I say get it.

My wife inisted our kid get the Peg-Perego John Deere tractor with trailer and front end loader this past Christmas since he was asking for a 'green tractor'. He was 2yrs-2months old. when I put it toghether I left the front bucket loader off.
It was way too much for him at 26months old, but he learned quickly. He was probably 2.5 when he could drive it on his own. Now he is 2yrs8months old, I can sit him on my lap and he steers my lawn tractor while I throttle.

That Jeep is 2 pedal, his tractor is one pedal, stops automatically when he lets go. We are trying to teach him reverse, but he doenst quite get it yet. Ours is also 2 speed, but we have second locked out. I'll bet that Jeep has the same feature built in.

Wifeys already talking about a Jeep Hurricane for next year, handing down the tractor down to the 16month old twins

Our kids had those types of toys at 2. They didn't really get the full effect of them until they were closer to 3. They had a blast though. I say, "Get it!"
