Hire me since I'm probably going to get fired tomorrow for opening a sex site off of the T-G forum this morning at work. The good news is you guys got rid of it quick as crap. The bad news is that I hate the PRK.

I know enough to hold the screwdriver by the fat yellow end. Am I in?

You're going about this all wrong... you have to find someone who might be qualified and then start 10 threads trying to get them to come work for you. It helps if you can get the board behind you to start harassing said individual.

Worked for me.

like they know how anything works. hell half of them at our school couldn't even tell you which aluminum series you can weld. But if you want anything about nano science or composites they are pretty good.

Sounds like a cool job but I don't have five years aside from school baja projects.

Sounds like the job is right up my alley....except that it's in the PRK. I've been designing and reverse engineering parts for 10 years...although not 100% for autos. To bad y'all ain't in WA or OR.

thats the "relocation package"... first they put you in a van in front of one building, then they put you in a truck in front of another place for a couple weeks and so on...

I'd rather work for trail queer than trail gear...

At Purdue many MEs don't have any clue how to do anything besides design (and they do that fairly poorly because they've never had to actually interact w/ anything their designing). METs on the other hand have classes on welding, maching, torching and design. MET >>>> ME

*phew*

Good to know! I'm in a MET program right now, and I'd much rather have my hands in the work than sit behind a desk. I was getting different flak from both sides on ME vs MET....thanks!!

I have five years experience in telling people stories, lies and not following through, and just generally being a dick. When can I start?

Weird exact opposite here, well for the most part. The hand full of ME thats are worth while do all the above stuff simply because we don't have any Mets's that
know anything about it. Almost all of them are desk/book/testing people.

weird.

I worked at Bosch on Coop and they said that they preferred MET's. They told me stories of having ME's who couldn't figure out how to use things such as an arbor press or a ratchet. The ME that was there when I was there was amazed everytime i looked at a bolt walked over to the tool box and grabbed the correct wrench the first time.

Granted most of the work I did was in the lab so I didn't do much design or anything and I will admit from a design stand point I don't stand a chance against an ME. And I do know a few ME's who are simply amazing. One of them made his own fuel injection system for an old motorcycle he had. I wouldn't even know where to start on something like that. (by made I mean he did everything from machining his own throttle body/adapter thingy, to putting in all the sensors, to doing all of the programming and tuning)
