TG Steering Problem

Well im having a big problem. I got a steering pump kit from trail gear and a IFS steering box. I got everything done and i cant get the time to prime. There is no air in the fluid because its not foaming. I dont know where to start now. I dont know if the back is bad or if the pump is. It still heals and you can feel it in the steering wheel like its not primed. Does anyone have any ideas.

Help i need to be back on the road monday

Jack the front up fill resivoir, start motor, turn wheel lock to lock untill your arms hurt. There must be air in the system. You could always call trail gear for some top notch service.

Did you bleed the air out of the steering box? Loosen the jam nut 3-4 turns while holding the stud with a screwdriver, move the flat washer off the housing up the stud, reason to do that is the washer has an o-ring built into the center to seal it to the case and stud. Start it up to let the air get pushed out and nothing but fluid comes out. Tighten the jam nut holding the stud with a screwdriver. Is the reservoir the highest thing in the system?

What fluid did you use? I am sure that the likely hood the pump and box are bad is low. I would do as Opps has advised and sometimes it takes a while for all the air to work it self out. I usually drive it around the block a few times turning left to right as much as possible and it eventually stops the squealing it just takes a little air to cause a big problem. Also did you hook up all the lines correct? Trail Gear advises FUll synthetic fluid. I belive the pumps are already primed for TG because the few i have seen all have residual fluid in them.
