s10 recovery and wheelin! pics and vid

so, it has taken me a few weeks to get the video and pics together, but a few weeks ago, my family and i, along with some close friends went on a camping trip we usually go on every year. and when we camp, it is to wheel as well. well, anyways, the first night we get down there i realize that we had all forgot ice when we are just a few miles out of town up this gravel road on our way to the camp which is about 30 miles up the road. so i decide to head back into town to get ice while every body else goes to set up camp. its about 9 pm at this point. well, going down the road, im probably doing 30-40mph and coming around a sharp corner, my brakes lock up not realizing that the fact that i have no rear brakes means that when my fronts lock up, i have to steering too. well, that recipe launched me 130ft down a steep embankment. remember, that i am alone at this point, with everybody else driving farther and farther away from me. luckly i was not hurt, but a foot either way and i probably would have died. i was able to scramble back up the hill, and was found by a passing car. that guy ended up taking me to the rest of my party. we decided to wait till the next day to try and recover my s10. when we got there the next day, and after we had got the s10 back up the hill, we noticed that a lot of things had been stolen from my s10. a camcorder and chain saw and a lot of other tools. that sucks, but i am alive. to took two full size trucks with winches, doublers, locked front and rear to pull me back up the hill. the winches were basically worthless for pulling power, but double low and two trucks was almost dangerously fast at pulling it up that hill.

anyways, after we got it back up, it started and ran down the road, so i preceded to try and break it again. i wheeled the piss out of this thing, and it still drove me the 350 miles home! these things just dont want to stop. now the good stuff.

this is the video of the recovery.
