1981 Scrambler Juggy 1 tons Krawlers

1981 Jeep Scrambler CJ 8 Rockcrawler. I have owned this Jeep for the past 4 years and it has evolved into a serious rock crawler. It is built with the best parts available. Here is the specs

Drivetrain

Engine: Jeep 4.0L, TF727 auto tranny(B&M Cable shifter), HD tranny cooler with aux fan, Grand Wagoneer radiator with 2 ford Taurus electric fans,Dana 300 transfercase twinsticked, clocking ring, Front and rear .250 wall DOM CV driveshafts with long slip, Chevy dana 60 Front narrowed 5 inches, 4.88 welded,4340 35 spline alloy shafts, yukon super joints, Warn premium hub on one side and drive slug on the other,Hydro assist steering with crossover steer on passenger side. Rear FF dana 60 with 35 spline alloy shafts and full spool 4.88, Disc brakes, 17" steel soft 8 wheels with GLO weld on beadlocks with grade 8 hardware, tires are BFG 39" Red label Krawlers with 7/8's or better tread.

Suspension.

Front is outboarded springs with Rubicon Express SOA 1.5" leafs. Rubicon Express shocks, Rear is 4 linked with RE links and flex joints with rear TJ coil springs, It is missing 1 rear shock.

Cage has about 150 ft of 1.75" .120 wall DOM tubing, all bent with a Pro tools bender, Paint on needs to be redone, I towed it in a winter storm where they were laying salt on the road and all the little scratches turned into surface rust. It is tied into the frame 8 times, boat sides with 1/2" teflon to make it slide. Roof is covered with aluminum road signs, 2 Front racing seats with extra padding, Full 5 point racing harnass, Rear TJ back seat.

Body:

Front clip from dash forward is original body that is beat up, Hood and cowl has dents and scratches.

Extras:

Warn xd9000 winch with synthetic rope and safety thimble, Yellow top Optima battery. Full onboard air system with 2 gallon tank(York compressor converted), Quick disco steering wheel, 16 gallon fuel cell, tow points front and rear, spare front driveshaft(square), spare custom cut stock innner axle shafts.



This vehicle has been used offroad only for the last 4 years, it is not street legal, It was hauled on a trailer to all trail rides. I have not babied it, it will take the abuse you give it and do all of the hardest trails you put it on. It has done all of the hardest trails around, from Harlan Tellico, DPG, Crozet and more. Here is some recent pics as it sits now. I have a master cylinder ordered for it to be put on, I was pulling it out of the garage monday and the pedal went thru the floor. I will also replace the power steering pump when it sells, as it is bypassing causing the steering to be really slow. Here is the pics
