stop procreating....

OF the MANY things to ponder in this little tidbit of news, I'd like to point out something. First and foremost - it is their absolute RIGHT to have this many children. You'll get NO argument from me. Whatever religion they may be (I remember seeing their show on Discovery, back when they had 14 kids), it is their right to do as they please, SO LONG as the children are loved, nourished, and have their proper innoculations.

Yes, we all wonder what's in their water. Yes, they are insane. Yes, it's floppier than 700 pounds of whale blubber. BUT, do you hear DIDLY from the enviro-turds? Think about what these people have done. They brought 17...yes 17...more people to this earth. Tell me how that is being in any way responsible for our resources? And the enviroweenies complain about Tellico.....

LITTLE ROCK — An Arkansas couple had a baby daughter Thursday — their 17th child and seventh girl — and the pair say they're still not ready to give it a rest.

Jennifer Danielle was born at 10:01 a.m. at a hospital in Rogers, Arkansas, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar said in an interview.

"We'd love to have more," Michelle said, referring to baby girls. "We love the ruffles and lace."

Jennifer joins the fast-growing Duggar brood, who live in a 7,000-square-foot home in Tontitown. All the children — whose names start with the letter J — are taught at home.

The oldest is 19 and the youngest, before Jennifer, is almost 2 years old.

"We are just so grateful to God for another gift from him," said Jim Bob Duggar, a former state representative. "We are just so thankful to him that everything went just very well."

Jennifer joins siblings: Joshua, 19; John David, 17; Janna, 17; Jill, 16; Jessa, 14; Jinger, 13; Joseph, 12; Josiah, 11; Joy-Anna, 9; Jedidiah, 8; Jeremiah, 8; Jason 7; James 6; Justin, 4; Jackson, 3; Johannah, almost 2.

Michelle Duggar said she started feeling contractions Wednesday night and went to the hospital at about 5 a.m. Thursday.

"It actually went fast," she said. "I guess once I started progressing, it went within 30 minutes."

The Duggars have been featured on several programs on cable television's Discovery Health Network. The next special, the Duggar Family Album, is scheduled to air next month, Jim Bob Duggar said.

Among the "fun facts" listed on Discovery Health's Web page devoted to the Duggars: A baby has been born in every month except June; the Duggars have gone through an estimated 90,000 diapers, and Michelle has been pregnant for 126 months — or 10.5 years — of her life.

Chinese have mandated small families and are the most environmentally irresponsible nation on the planet, so your argument really goes nowhere.

Support your local global thermonuclear war.

The real question is why are we letting someone named "Jim Bob" reproduce?

This wreaks of the movie Idiocracy

Did they ever pull off the deal to get thier house declared a church so they dont have to pay property tax? Cause that pisses me off.

Why? Add a narthex to your own home and hold services. Get in on the action.

You know, it's funny though. I'm against this many kids; population is already one of our problems.

However, these kids and parents pay all their bills, and raise people who contribute to society in a positive way (I've watched some of their stuff). They actually live debt free to boot. (took on like 15k to complete current house).

What gets me is the redneck/thug (insert your choice of loser, may select both) who makes 15 babies, abandons them, ends up in prison, and everyone says that's ok because it's his choice.

This is only news because all the kids have the SAME parents. Otherwise, some dude has his x-teenth kid over here in East STL every few days and no one blinks.

I was just going to say the same thing.....
Least it's not the family you see at the local Wal mart, you know the family where mom weight’s 400+ lbs. Dad weighs in at a buck 10 (probably has to run around in the shower just to get wet with a 2x4 strapped to his ass so he does not wash down the drain) and the 6-10 kids who are all filthy dirty dressed in what looks like rags at best. Shit always makes me mad, poor fucking kids!
Anyway, the family above can at least support them and raise them well. And you all do know that hardcore Christian types don't believe in birth control right??

The people who need to stop procreating are the people who live off welfare and pop children out to get more from the government. Of course, we can thank the democrats for social programs that essentially reward and promote this behavior.

Yes, those wacky fools actually espouse personal responsibility instead of entrusting decisions with multi-life-long reprecussions to 5% fallible physical and biochemical prophylaxis.

haha, God forbid people learn to use self control and take responsibility for their actions!

That aside, my woman is on BC because we don't want kids now that we're closing on a house soon. But if it fails and a kid pops out, we can handle it/afford it.

Which, even with 15 kids makes them better than 99% of us on this board.

I'd love to see their federal tax return. I guarantee that they get a healthy lump of cash every spring, so in fact they are a drain on society.

If they want more why can't they adopt instead of adding more to this planets over population?

That's one of those $$$ things. The church knows they can bring in more $$$ if they have more butts in the pews, so "go ye forth & multiply". The Catholics learned this trick centuries ago.

The hypocracy in the whole thing is that somehow birth control would be going against God's will - well, wouldn't medical treatment for injuries & illness also be going against God's will?

I used to work with a guy who spent eight years in prison for not getting medical care for one of his children that died for lack of medical attention and he is the biggest abortion opponent you could ever meet.
